If we do qualify for the champions league we are still not going to be able to attract the real top qualitiy players as those players want to play for Clubs who appear in the competition season in season out and not clubs who might do twice in five or six seasons.
The other thing is, these players want to play for clubs who can actually win it and not just take part in the competition like Benfica, Liverpool, Ajax and Okympiakos etc so qualifying for champions league is no guarantee you will get the best players.
If you look at who came to us last time we qualified under Rodgers, Ballotelli, Llalana, Lovren and Ricky Lambert hardly top class....
Really? Arsenal attracted 2 this window and they're not in the CL, or even the relevant league position for next year.
