Surely if we finish in the top 4, we did better than the rest of the 16+teams below us?
Too much negativity. We win we’re lucky. We lose, we’re poop and manager deserves to get sacked.

Yeah, when people say we scraped into the top 4 last season it p!sses me off. We won more points than Arsenal so deserved it more than them. No luck or scraping in. We deserved it.

Agreed, if we get top 4 again this season it'll be deserved but likewise if we don't it won't be. It's quite simple really.

I think that this has changed since as Rodgers 2nd season really skewed it in his favour, his third started his downfall

I'll be reasonably content with scraping into 4th, as it's an important finishing place. However it won't delight me, nor will I be overly happy with that finish. People are talking about what pisses them off. Well what pisses me off is us seriously weakening our prospects in the middle of the season, while our competitors strengthen theirs. Ambition has been sacrificed for purely financial reasons, and for me that's totally unacceptable.
If this unnecessary weakening results in us failing to achieve at least 4th place including an early exit from the CL, then yes Klopp should be sacked and the fans should rise up against FSG's mismanagement of the club.

Yes not getting a top 4 spot is a failure and shows we are not moving forward that means for me the manager must go. Selling our best (most valuable player) and not getting anyone for cover is a suicide. Just hope we will be lucky and still get 4th.

If he's working to parameters set the owners, what will sacking him achieve? The answer is absolutely nothing. Under the same owners and therefore circumstances, who else would you want?

I would want a manager who delivers exactly the same as Klopp but on half his wages....

Why? What impact does that have you?

You best start sorting the uprising then. I'm right there with you if you fancy doing something other than bitching about it on an internet forum.

How much a player or manager earns doesn't affect me, you or anyone else. Football clubs earn obscene amounts of money so in the grand scheme of things a managers salary is minimal. By saying you'd rather have someone on less money you are basically saying you'd rather FSG take more out of the club as anyone with a brain knows it wouldn't be invested elsewhere.

ok that's fine...so please can you explain to me and the other posters, why if we shouldn't be interested in how much we spend on players or what we pay these players in wages....why have we had endless posts and pages on Coutinho and how much we were getting, how much we had to pay for VVD how much FSG make in profit etc....because as you say it's not our money so why should we care....

Because it's a football forum, it's something to talk about and I don't speak for everyone. Your original point about having someone do the same job, which isn't guaranteed at all, on less money just doesn't make sense because the football club make more than enough money to pay whatever they want. You also then said that money could be reinvested elsewhere which is laughable as it would just line FSG's pockets once again.
