It's tough since we start in 4 comps and need a good squad, with players being happy to take a chance. You also can't have big wages or sell-on potential on the bench/carling cup etc..

Mignolet -sell
Karius - back up vs Ward
Lovren - good back-up if he's happy.
Klaven - Klaven is more a squad player who might be happer as 4th choice. Lovren could fetch more $ if sold.
Moreno - back up for me. Maybe we'll play wing backs one day..
Flanagan - bye
Henderson - don't think he'll accept being a squad player, sell.
Wijnaldum - good squad player, not a first teamer.
Markovic - sell
Sturridge - big wages etc.. love him when he's playing, but it's not gonna work out now. Get some $.
Ings/Solanke - good squad players for now, give them a run of less important games next season. Need a first choice striker as Firmino back-up/alternative.

Squads not looking bad really. Keita to add.

I don't think any of the above are good enough for where we are aspiring to be.

Wijnaldum, Henderson, maybe even Lovren and Moreno could be back up squad players though, but definitely not 1st teamers for me.

A fair assessment. BUt I reckon Wijnaldum is pretty good 60% of the time, so I would keep him. It is astounding how long most of them have "hung around" without contributing a great deal.

I wouldn't put Wijnaldum there, Henderson this season because if his injuries. Depending how it goes but I don't see Lallana getting there. So right now would remove Wijnaldum and put Lallana though for the latter I would wait for a few weeks.

Good point about Lallana. Players don't seem to recover to 100% from serious injury these days. Would be a shame because he would shine in the current line-up in the current form.

I can't see him getting a game ahead of Oxlade-Chamberlain at the moment.

As I said he could be a squad player but Wijnaldum definitely isn't good enough for the first team. He never ever turns up away from home which I find completely bizarre. His Anfield form is decent but I always feel we are a man down away with him in the side.

Yes he sometimes doesn't turn up especially in away game but I think overall he is a bit better than Can, Milner and currently even Henderson. Ox is an attacking player who has a different job on the pitch.

When he is in form, Lallana reminds me a bit of Steve McManaman.
