The academy is a waste of space for the 1st team. It's a separate money making entity, not a feeder. Yes, I know we've had our successes in the past from the academy but they are so infrequent that you'd struggle to name 10 DECENT players over the last 20 years that would walk into the side of any of our main rivals.
Man City have have ploughed millions into their academy and it's now the biggest and best academy in the UK and we know there's no way F$G are going to go toe to toe on spending with either of the Manc clubs let alone the likes of Barca or Real.
And who are the first team players in the City team coming from their academy? No idea and don't care tbh, I'm not a City fan. I don't know neither and most of their best players if not all have bought as much as I know. So I am not sure why you are bragging about their academy and the millions they've apparently spent there. For me the best academy over the last few years has been Southampton, not sure how much they have spent

Matip, Firmino, Salah, Robertson, Joe Gomez Klaven to an extent, Couthino bought for 8.5m sold for 142m. Sterling bought for peanuts sold for 49m. Some well thought out posts in the thread.

Dodging another ropey statement of your's I see. You banged on about City's accademy compared to ours so who has it produced for their first team? I think our accademy has produced more for their first team than theirs has in the last few years. So if you can't back up what you're saying, I suggest you don't say anything.

For me the best academy over the last few years has been Southampton, not sure how much they have spent My point is that our academy is not a source pool of talent for the 1st team and to think we can improve it to make it more 'useful' in this respect then we'd have to be more attractive than Man City's. Like it's first team squad, it's well documented that Man City has invested millions into it's academy, far more than we have. Not sure how mentioning this means I'm bragging, but hey ho.
