Calm down, calm down... Before the season started there wasn't much optimism where we would be in the league, some saying 6th or 7th - overwhelmingly everyone obviously top 4 was the must have.
My point is we are 4th, but we only lost out re points to Man C and Spurs assuming top 5 as is and Spurs pick up.. So we're in the mix, and we also gotta play them all again.
Yesterday was gutting it should have been 3 goals for us, thought soft pen, yet hand on back seen them given. Team selection wasn't the problem, finishing the chances - hard to say considering the quantity of goals the side has been producing.
My point is as a couple have said already we are doing fine, Klopp has raised the bar regarding recent years - people getting miffed through expectation of top 4/title challenge - not through hope of top 4 (hope my point is understandable).
I love watching the way we play although we do need defenders and a def mid. Keep the faith...

I think he is so arrogant that he just refuses to accept that the squad is too weak to rotate so dramatically.

We just made 4th last season and everybody wants progress, I don't know what you're talking about with some expecting 6th/7th. Finishing in the top 4 is not raising expectations and we should take all our chances. Klopp fked up our changes which he is usually bad at anyway, it's usually too late or not the right players. I think it's because of his stubbornness, ie, persisting in his belief

7 wins out of 10 games 3 draws and no losses. Those wins include a 7-0 thrashing and a 5-1 thrashing. He's got us to the group stages of the CL for the first time in nearly a decade. He's also having to play 3 games a week for the last 2 months. You know what happened last season when we didn't rotate when we had LESS games? January happened, we ended up not winning for 9 games because our players were either injured or exhausted. He's doing something right clearly. Two of those draws are down to Chelsea being lucky as [oops] with that Willian goal, and Everton being lucky as [oops] with that very soft penalty given. (Even still we should have been at least 3-0 up if we took our chances) all whilst rotating. I think people seem to lose perspective very quickly. Everyone is open to criticism, but the majority of these arguments against klopp just don't hold water. The only one is I think he could be better with his substitutions. Everything else he's pretty much been spot on with his decisions. I can only say you make your luck and he would have made it if he had replaced Solanke instead of Salah

Tiredreds, I did an expectations for the season towards the end of the window in the summer, P Couts possible move and no VVD joining - imo most hoped for securing top 4 this season, however there was an element of people thought 6th/7th was the reasonable target back then.

I don't know why anybody would expect us to finish 6th or 7th after finishing 4th unless we didn't reinforce which we did. I would understand if you assumed Coutinho to leave

You got next weeks lottery numbers as well there pal? See, apart from the wonder goal, salah was largely ineffective for the majority of the game. He was being manmarked by two Everton players and looked tired by the end as well. I don't agree with him being changed that early, but I understand the reasoning behind it. He was going to become less and less effective as the game wore on due to tiredness. Solanke has played less and looked fresher. However had Danny not been injured he probably wouldn't have started. So again I understand why he was there in the first place. You can spit your dummy out all you want, but hindsight is 20/20. Fact is we were one dodgy ref decision away from winning it. Or if you want to be super critical of someone. If you want SOMEONE to blame, we were one square pass from mane from winning it. But again I know some fans need someone to vent their vitriolic frustration at, possibly because they have some kind of personal issues they haven't addressed. I just encourage you to approach it with some semblance of critical thinking.
Are you sure you watched the same game? Any venting of frustration is based on the fact that most of us on here could see that with the team Klopp put out it was going to be a big ask and were proved right. Throw in the suicidal substitution and the unforced errors that Klopp continues to make it's hardly surprising some sh!t is being thrown around.

Exactly, Salah was by far our best player and Solanke was invisible so couldn't look fresher. I sometimes don't understand why some people make simple things look so complex

Two of those draws are down to Chelsea being lucky as [oops] with that Willian goal, and Everton being lucky as [oops] with that very soft penalty given. This is the type of attitude that I don't agree with. These type of results happen way too often to be branded lucky. The Everton game was yet another mistake from Lovren, a man whose whole Liverpool career has been a disaster, yet Klopp refuses to replace him, instead rewarding him with a new contract! So whether you want to believe it or not Klopp's persistence with Lovren will continue to cost us points. The team selections against both Chelsea and Everton were strange, we rested key players in both but were full strength against Brighton, surely it should have been the other way round? As you say we should have won both games but we didn't, how many times have we said that during Klopp's tenure?

Well put Chris!
We can blame the ref and bad luck as much as we want, but as Vish said earlier: You make your own luck!
Rotating players don't necessarily mean you have to put all the players names on notes in a bowl and make a lottery of it!
1. Best team against top teams and for derbies 2. Make only 3-4 changes for every new game
There are 2 good rules of thumb to get a good rotation policy up and running!
