Or maybe he just did want to publicly slate one of his only fit CBs and completely destroy any confidence he has going into the busiest period of the year?
Klopps not an idiot, he’ll be aware that lovren screwed up. He’ll also know that we need more/better defenders. What he says in press conference should be taken with a massive pinch of salt.
2 player cost us the 3 points today, Mane and Lovren, both of whom would still have been playing if we’d played our strongest 11, so saying it’s Klopps fault for not playing our best 11 is stupid IMO. He put out a team more than good enough to dominate the match and win the game. And we did dominate it, it was just two individual errors that cost us the points Did you even see the interview? Klopp totally lost it there. He slated the ref, since he thought it was a clear cut mistake from him. That's what I call deflection! Then he went on to stop the journo's question about Lovren. All he had to do was just politely answer that other players made mistakes too - such as Mané and Salah, who both should have scored. But he just went blank and didn't understand that other experts had already said that it was indeed a penalty, and that Lovren actually made a mistake. He went numb getting those facts in the face. That wasn't an act from Klopp. He genuinely thought they were wrong! Baffling! Not playing your best 11 in crucial games like against Chelsea and in the Merseyside derby IS Klopp's fault! If you have an important game and want to win you just play your best team available. End of! Yes we should have won anyway but we didn't. Fact! So in hindsight we should have started with a better XI, and we shouldn't have weakened the team further by taking our best player and top scorer off at 1-0 in the 67:th minute. Fact! If we can't learn from those facts in this game and the Chelsea game, then we won't reach top 4 or win any competitions in the near future!

Klopp's behavior at the post-match press conference was totally undignified and inappropriate
Regardless of how irritating the press may be, he has to keep his cool and be far more diplomatic. After such a meltdown some of the press will try to wind him up in future just to get some headlines and he has to be smarter than this.
Having said that, Klopp also has to look back and see that this loss is his fault and he has to suck it up, learn from it and move on.

I didn't hail his rotation when we failed to win against Chelsea, and I certainly don't do it now either! Klopp has failed to understand how to rotate his squad in different games.
It is a fact that you have a better chance of winning if you play your best team. Wouldn't you say?
To win you do your best, and we didn't set us up for that yesterday, did we?

We have made 59 changes to our line up to "keep things fresh" people keep saying we need to do this.
We have made at least 20 more changes than any other premier league team.
And yet we are 4th/5th?? It isn't working that great then is it?
Shouldn't be resting players against our rivals. Whether that be rivals for the CL spots or city rivals.
Also klopps interview was embarrassing. His love for Lovren will get him sacked.

There was no need to start Solanke and even if he did it he should have replaced him instead of Salah. We started with a weak team and weakened it further when we were only 1 up. This is how stupid Klopp was. My thoughts exactly. Our side can not defend a 1 goal lead so what does Klopp do? Take off the premierships top goal scorer. I couldn't believe it when Firmino was coming on for Salah and not Solanke.

I couldn't believe it when Firmino was coming on for Salah and not Solanke. Complacency shown by Klopp and it cost us. Why did he take Firmino off against Spartak to then rest him against Everton? Why didn't our full strength team play against Everton with a view to resting those who need it at home to WBA?

I can even accept him not starting with the 4 fantastic but why did he leave Solanke there. If he wanted to give Salah a rest, he should have replaced Solanke by Coutinho at the same time, why did he weaken the team further. I am really [oops] off, same when we didn't buy a CB last summer and nobody last winter. I am getting ready to be [oops] off in Jan again

Mane and Solanke were both poor yesterday, yet instead of taking either of them off he took off Salah, our goal-scorer and most threatening player. It made zero sense at the time and it still doesn't now. To make it worse he brought Firmino on and played him wide, where he offers very little. He got a lot wrong yesterday Klopp, he really did.

I disagree, we had a chance to go 3rd and basically Klopp blew it and the front lot blew it also with poor decision making and lack of composure. Excusing the dropping of points like that is bad habit forming.
