The depth of dislike for that paper has mellowed over the years, it will never be truly accepted but the feeling is certainly not what it used to be. We have had older players doing interviews with direct connections to that paper and even Liverpool so called legends having autobigrophies written by people connected to it to.
I see no problem if a person wants to post something on here that has been mentioned in it as it's all to do with rumours...
There is still a strong dislike of the paper from Liverpool fans, especially in Liverpool, there have been campaigns to stop shops stocking the paper, so feelings are still high, and to mention them on a Liverpool forum is not a good move.
their are plenty of Liverpool fans who read that paper, I agree wholeheartedly that the depth of feeling is greater in the city than anywhere but what you have to remember is most of our support is from outside anyway.
I will always remember the news when we were up in court with Hicks and Gillette outside the court and their were Liverpool fans congregated outside leaning against the wall some reading that paper with their Liverpool tops on waiting for press releases.
One of our ex players had his autobiography written by a reporter for the Sunday edition of that paper and ex players have all done pieces for it so although their are a lot of people including myself against that paper their is still an awful lot who stil read it...
