Just asking as it is getting to be more and more of a common talking point amongst fellow reds with each month that passes. As much as I love the guy, its becoming very clear to me that he isn't capable of improving us. So, a couple of talking points:
1) He's been in charge for 2 years - are we any more likely to win something than under previous managers? 2) After 106 games his wins ratio, points gained and goal difference are worse than Rodgers for the same amount of games 3) Under Brendan, we only ever had 1 problem - an embarrassingly poor defence. Jurgen has done nothing to improve this - we're actually worse. Lovren is a joke, and rather than replace him he gets a new contract!! 4) Sakho has been our best defender since he arrived. He's gone and we're left with Lovren and Klavan. Inexplicable decision making. 5) Moreno - did ok last night if he was playing as a left winger. But he's a defender and cannot defend to save his life. Why is he still here?!?! 6) Jordan Henderson for captain. WHAT THE F U C K!!!!!!
Sadly, I'm struggling to find reasons why we should keep Herr Klopp. Yes we can play good attacking football, but that has always been the case - it's nothing new. And if it's not winning us games, what's the point?

You have a warped version of what Klopp took over, it seems.
The only problem was the defence under Rodgers? Not true at all - sure his 13/14 season we were a great attacking team but in his last season we definitely weren't. Klopp has improved our attack from when he took over.
There hasn't been any improvement? We're in the Champions League again, in the last 8 years we've qualified twice. Sure, you don't get a trophy for it but it's an achievement in itself, given there are 4 teams with more resources than ourselves.
Maybe the improvement aren't coming quick enough, I'm unsure if the defence has actually got worse - I'd say it's the same as under Rodgers. There are definitely massive question marks over the defence. Annoyingly we didn't get Keita or VVD for this season, I think we'd look a different team with them in the starting XI.

I'm embarrassed for you Darcus, usually your well reasoned and sensible in what you write. Sakho is absolute dogshite unfortunately Lovren is even more dogshittier but Klopp didn't like his attitude so off he went. Rodgers went to the Scottish league so that should put that to bed. We are heading in the right direction and it's gonna be bumpy,to start these Klopp out threads is thoroughly unprofessional of you.

I still remember the team when Klopp took charge, can't attack at all without Sturridge. Couldn't create much chances and cannot beat any teams from the top half of the table. Lost to West Ham for 0-3 and lost to Stoke for 1-6 at home. The team has no true wingers and wide players and full of under-performers. Klopp took charge and he immediate does some magic to our attack. Making us the real force in EPL with great attacking power. Lead us to two finals and make us to CL again. When you look at the squad and the players we have now and comparing them to two years ago, you can actually find a huge improvement. We are actually a better team than the last year one. And the last year one is actually a better team than that of a year before. We are no doubt making some huge progress here. I agree with Heskey that Klopp is improving our squad, but it is a journey, not a sprint (as expected by some fans). We have to be patient as we didn't spend a lot (we started to spend more this summer but it is just the start of our season) and we do not have too much to spend. We must spend wisely. Everyone yelling at no plan B centre back. Of course, it is always easy to go for plan B/C/D/E/F.... if you have adequate funds. You can go for as much plans as you want if money is not a concern. But for our case, FSG DO have a limited budget on transfer. We must spend wisely to make sure we dont buy one that is not good enough or not fit into our system. Anyone remember the case of Balotelli? Buying wisely is extremely important in this transfer windows as the price is mad even for an average player. We must accept that Klopp wants to buy someone that can convince him that actually can help our team. As Klopp said, we wont spend for the sake of spending. Personally, I dont want to buy someone that Klopp dont want and turn out to be Lovern and Ballotelli version 2. P.S. To said that Klopp is here for 2 seasons and achieved nothing is a little bit misleading. Klopp actually took charge to the team after the season started and Bredan almost ruined the season already and there was not much that Klopp to do in his first season (and he took us to two finals).

Jaysus lads, a wee bit of patience is what we need now.
Kieta will be a huge player for us and if Klopp gets VVD we will also improve significantly at the back. If we don't get VVD then I assume he will buy someone else because Lovren cannot continue.
I know it's frustrating but he is taking us in the right direction, all be it two steps forward, one step back at times.

It makes me remember in the ages of Rafa, many people critised Rafa's approach was too conservative and once we couldnt win a game, all faults went to Rafa. Finally, Rafa was gone and look how much we missed him. It takes us over 7 years to have another top class manager back.

I don't believe that we are any better. And the one area that urgently needed attention - the back 5 - has not been improved one little bit. I'm usually patient but Klopp is showing no signs of having any interest in improving us defensively and that is going to hold us back. He's a great guy but I'm having reservations about whether he's good enough to get take us any further.

The jury is still very much out.

One or two incoming players is putting sprinkles on a poorly made cake.
I fail to digest the logic where Klopp resolutely refuses to admit, even in today's press, that bringing in better defenders and some better midfielders, will help our cause, and yet at the same time it is also perceived that a confirmed incoming midfielder and maybe Van Dyke will instantly fix our problems.
at the moment, I dont think that we should replace Jurgen Klopp, because I believe that he can be a very good manager and could become better.
But he is losing my trust with his shambles of a team, and with his [oops] excuses and denials.
At the moment it looks like he has made terrible (non) recruitment decisions and is making very poor player selection and tactical decisions.
And it all makes no sense at all.
If player purchases and sales and even some selections, are being controlled by the owners, then so be it. If he is in control and this is the best he has got, then he should feck off.
At least I would like to know.
On current form he wont be sacked, because the owners like his overt personality in the media. But how long will he want to stay on when the side he has assembled continues to slip up on its own boot laces?
