Much, if not all of his success at Celtic is seemingly attributed to the alleged fact that the Scottish league is easy, and really has only one decent team in it.
Now this may or may not be a fact, but why should it be true?
Why are all the teams below them so seemingly weak, when we don't appear to have this mis-match and unbalanced problem in the Prem?

Now this may or may not be a fact, but why should it be true?
Why are all the teams below them so seemingly weak, when we don't appear to have this mis-match and unbalanced problem in the Prem?
I'm puzzled Celtic have a huge following, with big gate receipts/merchandising/sponsors, so they have allot more money than their rivals, they have also got through the CL qualifiers for a few years, so that gives them huge income for a Scottish club, they can also buy the best players from their rivals, so weaken them. I see it as the equivalent of dropping a Man Utd/Liverpool/City into the Championship, they would dominate the league. Rangers were a similar level but they got relegated due to the financial problems/liquidation and being voted out the league, so they are coming back, but will take quite a few years to come back to their previous levels, when they will rival Celtic and they will challenge for the league again. But it will be a 2 club league with the occasional challenge from other clubs when they get a good crop of youngsters/top manager coming through, like a Hearts, or when Aberdeen did so well under Fergy. With the TV money in the PL and mega rich owners, small clubs are now richer than some of the biggest clubs on the continent, I saw a stat a while ago that Southampton have a bigger turn over than Milan or something like that???? so they can recruit/hold onto their best players, like we have seen with VvD, so the PL is far more competitive compared to Scotland. I got to admit I don't follow Scottish football much, I remember them more in the 80's/90's when they had the likes of Trevor Steven/Gazza/Laudrup/Duncan Ferguson/Hately/Larrson/McCoist/ McCall, top English clubs used to regularly buy the best Scottish players, especially when we had the 3 European players rule.

Whoever told him it's ok for Liverpool to be happy with an away drawn game?
“With Liverpool you can go away from home and draw and that’s OK. But Celtic, you have to win every game. It’s a different pressure.””
Thank goodness that mentality and his outstanding white teeth have found its rightful place at Celtic. Stay there and be happy.

Thank goodness that mentality and his outstanding white teeth have found its rightful place at Celtic. Stay there and be happy.

I liked him at the start, but he seemed to lose the plot at the end with his post match 'Outstanding' comments when we had played liked donkeys.
I think he gave up allot of management power to get the LFC job, he would have agreed to any contract, he had his best players sold from under him and was forced to work with players he never wanted (Balotelli etc), so I did feel abit sorry for him at the end, he was a dead man walking start of 2015-2016 season and everyone knew it, they should have got rid after the Stoke embarrassment.
I agree with most of that ecnirp, except I think FSG we're more angered by his consistent calls for a higher calibre of recruit signing, than they were by the results, which to them and their strategy was acceptable enough, so when they saw that Klopp was available, they assumed he'd be prepared to work with cheapie prospects, (how shocked they must be feeling now!) they decided to ditch Rodgers. Had Klopp not been available and indicated his preference for Liverpool, we would probably have The Blue's manager now. Total BS. He was sacked by FSG because of results, he had no balls to take on FSG. KD on the other hand was sacked because he went to tell them to continue with the spending despite flops like Carroll, Downing and Herderson then, though he should have been given one more season IMO so that players would settle in his system. I know you prefer BR to Klopp for whatever obscure reasons. You don't know I prefer BR to Klopp, for the simple reason I've never said that. Truth is vish, you know very little, except how to feebly try to put your own words in someone else's mouth.

I liked Rodgers and thought he got some poor treatment at times. Probably took the job too early but who wouldn't? He was binned and the right time, probably a bit late as they could've done it that summer instead of letting him spend money.
Anyway good luck to him. Scottish football is just Celtic but we should give him some credit.

Tbf Celtic drawing away to anyone in Scotland would be the equilivent of us getting a point at Corby fc. When are we playin' then like?  1st round of the Golden Coconut Cup?  Another MUST WIN game then I presume?

The quote about drawing an away game with Liverpool and that being ok shows that he never truly grasped the expectation of our club and the fans. Over a season a draw at Old Trafford, Stamford Bridge, etc can be seen as a good result but never should anyone associated with this great club settle for a draw as being good enough. Could you imagine Shankly or Paisley saying something like this? Statements like this from Rodgers just remind me how cringe-worthy he was at times!
