I can tell you're getting riled as you've brought out the distantly challenged again

I don't think anyone thinks we've a god given right to be the biggest team in Liverpool. But if you're basing that Everton MAY overtake us in the players they've bought then you're wrong. They're all average apart from maybe Keane.
You've still not answered who they've signed that if we had would've made you think we've ambition? I don't need to wilkij, Spango, just did it above, really you've got to see a broader and bigger picture wilkij, youre thinking way too small, by just looking at recent purchases. Things are rustling in the undergrowth right beneath our feet, while our management focus exclusively on moneyball policies. Time for LFC fans to wake up. I second that too, judging Everton on the surface of just the quakity of signings is foolish , their ambition throughout the club heirachy is where their potential to overtake us will eventually become aparant , i.e took man city a couple years to establish themselves too, they signed robinho, Jo, Barry ...etc So how would you have judged us if we'd bought all the players they did? I can answer that by asking you a question , Would players like robinho, Barry, Jo make the current city team??? Everyone signings would be good for LFC during the initial phase of FSG similar to us buying Henderson( sorry don't rate him) ,downing, C.adam. Just because LFC has been so deprived of silverware one of the easiest things to d is to put Everton down to feel good about LFC. I personally don't agree with such behaviour and also , Everton will become a force if they continue spending.

I'm not putting Everton down to feel good about LFC. In fact, it seems you lot are playing them up to make us look bad.
I'm saying that they've bought average players and nothing more. If that is what people think shows intent then we've shown plenty in the last few years.
I notice that still no one is answering the question that I keep asking which speaks volumes.

Lukaku left because he felt he didn't have the time to wait three or four seasons for Everton to kick on, same reason Torres left us because he thought time was moving on for him to win the games major honours. I think Everton like I said will end up with us, Spurs and Arsenal in a little group behind the big boys but if the rumours of Usimonov at Arsenal not being happy then if he does go to Everton then that will catapult them into the big three category with United, Chelsea and City... Credit where it's due. You speak the truth of Everton , Torres/Lukaku identical situations , and they got Rooney back for sentiment and to fill part of the void. LFC could learn from such smart business , although I want FSG to stand by klopp, part of me thinks using evertons example If not this season we will lose coutinho soon, part if me thinks accept the offer from Barcelona of £115m +Luis Suarez We get our sentiment back , plus the cash , plus we'll be getting a world class player that would join us... Anyway I feel like I'm the only one thinking of this!!! Surely klopp will play firmino deeper to accommodate

Good grief.

Would you be happy if we had signed all the players Everton have and would you think we had shown intent if we had? Ok no we wouldn't, but maybe that answer would be yes 7years ago, But then it's wrong to assume Everton will follow our trend 7 years from now , actually evertons team now half their players would make our squad Pickford Matip/Williams Keane Coleman Baines Idrissa/scherderlin Wijnaldum Coutinho Salah Firmino/Rooney Mane
