It was always going to come down to a transfer request anyway, wasn't it? How could either Barca or LFC (read FSG) achieve a deal without a Coutinho transfer request? There is no way FSG could sell Coutinho without it, given the fan hostility towards it, and there's no way Barca could get the player if FSG hadn't got an unarguable excuse for "reluctantly" letting him go, as they almost certainly will. How can you run a moneyball enterprise if you can't sell your best players? What else did we fans realistically expect?

The length of time they play these games for effect is what gets on my last nerve.

This club will never amount to anything as long as we have FSG as owners. I wonder if Jurgen Klopp is beginning to realise this or is he just taking the money? I'd prefer to believe that he accepted certain assurances from FSG that led him to believe he could achieve something great at Liverpool. If it's the former he'll participate in the charade, smoke and mirrors, If it's the latter he may well walk. Time will tell.

If Klopp and indeed Brendan was in the dark as to the smoke and mirrors of FSG then those two must be the only ones in the football world that are/were

thry have to tell us that to keep the customer base engaged and spending money...surely you can see that....what do you expect owners and managers to say...I only bought the club to make money or I only manage the club because I am paid X amount...


Do you think they know spinning us a yarn for our money is not working then? maybe the silly season ticket holders like the tall stories.

Yes it has become farcical, FSG plying the smoke and mirrors and Klopp contradicting himself and now demonising Coutinho...the smoke thickens...what are we like to see when it clears?

How is Klopp demonising Coutinho? I think he's doing a terrific job of that on his own with the timing of his transfer request and his gobshitte reletive sticking the boot in.

All Klopp seems to have done is want to keep him, to hold him to that handsome 5 year contract extention he signed in January.

Yeah. Cout out of nowhere decided to announce his transfer request one day before our opening fixture. It's not like with Suarez who made his intention to leave for Barca clear from the start, after our failed attempt to win any trophies of course. Honestly, I still want him to stay, but if he leaves we better use that 100m to buy players.
