there are whispers on the rumour site that Couthino has handed in a transfer request.

Are we obliged to sell Coutinho if he hands in a transfer request? Would a player that is that desperate to leave, still be an asset? I wonder about both questions.

We don't have to sell him, and with the WC coming up I'm certain he won't refuse to play. Might sulk a bit at first if there's any truth in this transfer request, but he'll n Ed to perform to ensure his place in the Brazil team

Will be interesting to see how Coutinho behaves if we refuse to sell, Suarez did similar with Arsenal, but when the season started he was on fire, so I expect Coutinho will be professional and do his best, the advantage we have is that it is a World Cup year, so Coutinho needs to play to get in the Brazil team.

Aah well,at least we can all rest easy with the knowledge that FSG and Klopp did everything in their power to stop it eh........cant we?
