According to Football 365, the Echo is saying that Liverpool is intent on going into the CL and new season with Milner and Moreno unless Moreno can be sold for 15m! They further say that if Moreno is sold its likely LFC will then move for Robertson as their new LB.
We seem to have moved a long way from the giddy days of the closing of last season when people were speculating that wed spend in the region of 200 - 250m this window! Have to admit I allowed myself a certain level of indulgent self delusion for a while there, but when the “suits” did for the VvD signing in their own inimical style, I began to recover some of my sanity. Now I’m not really surprised. Anybody disagree?

I dont disagree with you Herc,the only bit that differs is that Giddy indulgence of closing season hope of good things to come.
I had no such hope of our suits showing urgency to fork out to boost our momentum in all positions needed, as ever just a snippet of JAE (Just About Enough) may prove sensible as my blood pressure stays level we will see ?

Apparently we have turned down an £11million bid form Napoli, I'd happily drop him off at the airport !!!!

It's still early days to judge the transfer Window, we have spent nearly £40 million on 1 player, not many teams have spent more, if the VvD deal hadn't blown up we might have spent nearly £100million so far.

At the end of the day, it's not in our interests to go out stating how we're going to spend huge amounts here and there, I don't care if we spend £10 million or £50 million on a LB, as long as they improve the team.

Allot of teams/managers return soon after holidays, also, the U21/21/Confederations Cup tournament end, so I expect the transfer market to step up in the next few weeks.

Yes you were wise to them Lain, I think in my heart I was too, but I let myself believe that Klopp might convince them to up their game a bit. But I was a tad deluded I fear, as it's all now looking like déjà-vu for another season sadly.

I'm still hopeful, but I reserve the right to have a rant on 1st September after the transfer Window closes!!!! we have 2 months to sign/sell players, transfers tend to trigger more transfers, so lets see what happens.
