No point in banging on about World class players when we probably can't sign them. It makes for a nothing conversation. The question to be discussed is if VvD is too expensive then who are the alternatives that we can realistically get.

I would happily overspend on defence for Vvd or a similar standard. No point in comparing transfers it's who is available to us this summer. The point is we have money as we spend nothing last season. Should we get in a cheaper less effective defender so we can spend 20m in attack when it is already good. Defence is the weakest part of the team we can either [oops] around with cheap buys for it again this summer or go out and sort it with 1 signing

I would spend 100million to get Suarez back, he's world class and can also win us the league . I've had this view throughout the season and I think he is the one truly world class player that would steam roll deep defending teams and win us the league and champions league

Do we agree that "if" any one player can win us the league , it would be Suarez??? If not who? And what fee would be reasonable ?


I would say anyone of Ronaldo, Messi and Suarez but they will need a decent team around them. We almost won it with Suarez but other players chipped in as well, nobody can do it on his own as it is a team game. The player who had the biggest influence for me ever was Maradonna in the 1986 world cup but in the final, Argentina needed others to win the World Cup as he was not as brilliant as usual that day.

Imagine what we could do with 2 or 3 'Suarez types' in the squad Vish.

That job interview was going so well until I realized I was fukked up on acid in the middle of a cornfield naked and talking to a scarecrow.

We would be like Barcelona, in addition to Suarez they have Messi and Neymar. That said, they won nothing last season, this is why you also need other at least decent players working as a team
