The only thing they have managed to rebuild is the anfield stand, and that's because they are too cheap to fund a new stadium, which could have provided extra incentives for Liverpool.

We need to stick with Klopp for a few more seasons, we all knew it would take time, our squad was the weakest of the top 6 and FSG are not the biggest spenders. If we got rid of Klopp who would we atttact? there is no one better we could get hold of IMO.

Klopp has improved the first team, but not the squad, I expect Klopp & FSG to deliver strength in depth this summer, so we can maintain a challenge when we lose a few key players like Mane/Lallana/Matip, especially with the increased amount of games we will have.

But when will someone organise the defence ffs?

They can buy all the players they want (preferrably expensive prospects), but before we get a coach able to fix our defensive problems we will continue to struggle as we have been doing since the Carra/Hyypiä days!

I hoped with Klopp being a CB he might be able to sort the defence out, we have enough ex players who know about defending, like Carra/Hansen/Hyypia etc, why not bring one of them in, even as part time work for someone like Carra.

Yes, this total lack of interest for our shambles of a defence does get on my tìts!

What are they waiting for?

Well we've kept a clean sheet in the last 2 games and we've only conceded 3 in our last 5. That's really not that bad. We need a new left back and a new cb, but I see improvement.

I don't disagree that Klopp should be given another season. But he, along with all other factors, should come under scrutiny when the season is reviewed.

Going forwards beyond next season there's no point keeping him just for the sake of keeping a manager for a long time. If he plainly fails to show imrovements in gameplans, tactics, defensive performances etc.... then his poistion must surely be at risk. If he ever admits that his hands are tied in the transfer policy then that may put a different complexion on things.

I don't think Rafa is past it. On the contrary, he has even more experience now than when he left us.

I don't care if he hasn't won league titles. Unless we get a massive cash injection, talk of winning the title is generally pie in the sky. We need to show that we can compete consistently for the top 3 poistions before we can realistically start thinking about winning the league. And Rafa has the desire to compete.

So although I would keep Klopp now, I wouldn't rule out Rafa somewhere down the line. It would all depend on what our options are.

I love Rafa, and letting him go was a mistake, but he has too much baggage now. The ghosts of Inter and Real are haunting him.

I'd rather see this through.

It always depends on the options that are available. Let's say this time mext year, we find that we've had another erratic season under Klopp. Surely we'd need to consider his position then?

If so, I suspect there wouldn't be too many top managers knocking on our door to work under FSG. Under such circumstances, if Rafa had a decent season with Newcastle, then he'd be worth considering.

We've got how many points in the last 3 games? Answer: 4 points out of 9.

Scoring how many goals? Answer: 2.

Playing how many DM's at the same time? Answer: 3.

Klopp seems to have changed his tune, and now wants to let in fewer goals. This in turn has lead to us getting less points than before.

We need a defence capable of defending when we are playing our usual offensive game. If that's not possible then we are failing. Round pegs in square holes!

A defence that needs 3 dm's on the pitch at the same time to avoid letting in goals is hopeless!
