Sorry to here that. Suffered a bit with anxiety in the past myself. Nothing too bad but bad enough to effect my life. It's really good that mental illness is getting more coverage as it needs to lose its stigma and effects more people than you'd think.

I totally admire you for admitting that, as it is NOT an easy thing to do.
I was prescribed tabs for anxiety and depression 3 months ago, but didn't like the look of the side effects, so never bothered. Just the blood pressure tabs is all i decided to take.
Going to see a 'specialist' in 2 weeks time, but iyt it ain't going to be an easy ride.
I've had some right horrible sh1t to deal with this last 2.5 years, that is still on going, and just than God for this place and Faceache for letting steam off and havin' a damned good larf to relieve the horrible tensions that build up whilst on my own.
Sort of mind diversion tactics, and it really does help me.

You see, none of you, including me, would ever have known about Stan's probs, and probably never have guessed that I had any too.
Behind closed curtains and all that ey?

Thanks to stan, I have finally had the courage now to admit that I have 'issues' too.
I'm not a nutter, just not in a very good place mentally due to others truly stunningly horrible bad and dreadful behaviour in the past.

Sorry to hear about your issues Fella's, hopes you get over it and don't take the burden all on your own, a good friend or family member who are trusted, can help a lot!

It's a bigger problem than most realise, I too suffered in the past with depression, in my mid 30's. The hardest part is admitting to yourself that you need help. I got help via my quack, Family and a trusted Friend.

I had 2 close Friends who suffered alone with depression for a long time and commited suicide. It's a horrible dark, lonely place depression. But with the right help you will come out of it a much better person.

We are all delicate creatures .

That job interview was going so well until I realized I was fukked up on acid in the middle of a cornfield naked and talking to a scarecrow.

I admire anyone who has the guts to come out and share their mental health problems. It seems a great many people suffer from various forms and depts of depression, and it seems only those brave enough to share their condition are the ones that successfully overcome it. Those who bottle it all up seem to be the ones that cone a cropper from it.

The worst thing you can do is take tablets.

Research has shown the best thing you can do is run if you suffer from anxiety, stress, depression.

Doesn't matter how far, how fast, just getting outside and running will cure your woes.

trust me.

I know a fair few people who would strongly disagree with you, one in particular who wouldn't be with us if not for medication.

Now you see, prescribed medi's scare the sh1t out of me, especially when you read the possible side effects that some produce, and quite often they can lead to other problems.

I agree with Whizzo tbh.
Go the gym nearly every evening.
Don't run much, as it knackers yer knees, but I do loads of walking on treadmill. Push myself hard on a steep angle, and always feel better after too.
Different things werk for different sheeples I suppose.

Course, the other help, for me, as I said earlier is 'avin' a damned good rant moan witty banter and a hoot.
