good post but results last season spoke for themselves, keeping him was risky, as if we struggled to start with we'd be replacing him midseason, common sense has prevailed and a fresh start has occured
His main problem was an inability to rectify obvious problems. We could all see that the midfield wasn't working. We could all see that the back up striking option wasn't working and we could all see that the team was too negative. What did he do to improve our fortunes. Absolutely nothing. Same thing every week. He had to go and I'm glad it was now rather than a couple of months in to the new season following another dreadful start.
Very good post with valid points but he had lost the dressing room in the end with some of our senior players. Unfortunately when this happens it's time for a change. Let's hope that we bring in a top quality manager.
this is a real good read and made me realise just how far rafa actually took us. I am now in limbo if it was time for him to go as many people say form is temporary class is pernament. he's had 1 bad season are we going to live to regret it?
I know everyone says he lost majority of the dressing room etc but im am now curious to what could have been....
But thats now history and i am now looking forward to see what new manager we can attract the papers are full of names and i personally want oneil or redknapp
Great article. I'm really looking forward to seeing a manager make Liverpool reach two Champions League finals in the coming years, especially with our current owners.
What a man, what a manager. Will miss Rafa and hope he does well in the future to prove his doubters wrong.
