Now a straight chase between 6 teams, at one point, it was almost done and dusted.

We were 13 points ahead of the scum, after tonight we will be 2. Oh well, gives us hope that Chelsea can still be caught eh lol!.

I would rather say 5 teams fighting for 3 places as Chelsea is gone. Don't fancy our chances anymore, too many missed opportunities and our squad is too thin

Liverpool's chance evaporated the moment the transfer window closed last night! This squad is simply not equipped to get a Top 4 spot.

I think staying in the Cup would of helped as it keeps players and fans engaged, now there's nothing to play for with the season over with for this year motivation will be tough, we will get to march and players will be thinking where they want to go on there summer holidays as this year will be good because no international tournament until next summer.

I don't know. There's been allot to be pessimistic about recently. But in reality, if you exclude the cups, we have had a couple of bad results, Sunderland snd Swansea.

Firstly, I think any if the top 6 would have struggled with the amount of injuries we have had. Coutinho firmino lallana and mane have not played together since November. Take out hazard Costa willian and pedro from Chelsea and see how they go, their squad would be irrelevant.

With mane back, all the other key players back from injury, we are at full tilt again and still in the top 4, dare I say still within reach of Chelsea, who lets not forget, have utd, city, arsenal, Everton still to play. If the players aren't thinking this way, wow, then we really do have a problem.

Good sensible post and pretty much how I feel. Lets not forget all bar Chelsea have European football again soon too as a distraction.

Well those players haven't always played together, Pedro Twho is more on the bench) and Batshuayi are much better than our Origi and Sturridge, Fabregas is better than Can. When Costa was on strike, Pedro came in and did a fantastic job, even yesterday he did a good job when called on. We still have to play City away, Arsenal and Spurs at home and out record against the lesser team is no easy win.

How can you say he's better than Origi? He's hardly ever played and when he has he hasn't looked at all good. If that's what £32m gets you I'll stick with Origi for £10m!

think we can all pick cheaper options to make a point, the money we spent on Lovren, Henderson, Llalana, Mane and Firmino doesn't get you much considering what we payed for them either, it's easy to put it that way and Clubs can always get better value for money when comparing them to cheaper options who have done well.

I said Pedro and Batshuayi are better than Origi and Sturridge, together, not comparing player to player. Anyway, if you want to go that route, Pedro is much better than Origi and Sturridge hasn't done much better than Batshuayi who is a very good player I know from the French league who can hardly get opportunities to show it because of the quality of Chelsea players. In fact they play with 3 in front out of Costa, Hazard, Willian and Pedro who have about the same level, we play with 4 out of Firmino, Coutinho, Lallana Mane and Origi. I consider Origi nowhere near that level
