If he's that bad of an apple what's he still doing at the club? At a time when we desperately need cultivation of the kids, why have a bad example amongst them...makes no sense at all. Indeed. My thoughts entirely. Terminate his contract if he really has been, or is that badly behaved and disruptive. All most odd.

Better than Lovren and/or Klavan? he isnt . Absolutely miles better than Klavan and definitely no worse than Lovren. His form was extremely good last season before he got banned! klavan is a bit part player and he isnt better than lovren both are decent at best , sakho is clearly a d1ckhead the same thing happened to him at PSG when he was captain he got chased , lovren and sakho both are not good enough , yes sakho had a good spell in feb to april last season but before that he was hated , but he let himself and the club down with his attitude IE the drugs business and his childish antics .

The 'drugs business' that wasn't actually the 'drugs business' at all?

The 'drugs business' that wasn't actually the 'drugs business' at all? That's the one, but when all else fails just use some alternative facts. It's all the rage right now.

To be fair, it was a bit of a grey area and if you're not 100% sure, you shouldn't take stuff. I get the feeling he's just a bit of a nob. He's a decent player but we wouldn't be talking about him but for the desperation of some to get some new players in, which is what this would be like.

The 'drugs business' that wasn't actually the 'drugs business' at all? Very very true. Just goes to show how mud sticks doesn't it?

The thing is when he scored against Dortmund he was absolutely on top form and possibly his absence from the final was what screwed us over. I don't think Klopp has forgiven a player who is on a fortune a week for his stupidity over what was diet pills or whatever. His subsequent general demeanour has meant he is unavailable for selection for a team and manager with high expectations of players.
He has ended up playing catch up on fitness and a lack of game time and for a player who may have a weight problem this alone will be enough to make him unavailable. Teams are not going to risk money on a transfer fee if a player has been sidelined for such reasons. No point us loaning him out just so that he gets found out elsewhere thus making him totally unsellable.
Southampton were looking at a loan. We are holding out for a price and don't want to loan him out. Their situation is more desperate now Fonte has gone and Van Dijk is out for 3 months. Seeing that Van Aarnholt has gone for £14m from Sunderland to Palace today we may be right in holding out for £20m.
News of talks between Klopp and Sakho may just be smokescreen for a reason for taking a lower offer. I reckon if Southampton offer us £17m tomorrow then he is gone. Shame really as he was our best defender at the time of his "drug" episode. But as Lain has pointed out he is somewhat horrifying to see on the ball. His passing is so telegraphed and deliberate it is scary. What he offers though is a physicality that none of the others can get anywhere near.

I didn't say he was better than Lovren, I said he is no worse, there's a difference. As for saying Sakho was hated, who by? Because it was most certainly not by Liverpool fans who used to sing his name regularly.

He's a decent player but we wouldn't be talking about him but for the desperation of some to get some new players in, which is what this would be like. Yep, he might have been cleared in the end, but I'm guessing the players have to notify the clubs doctors before/if they take anything to get it cleared? i'm sure no Liverpool FC doctor would clear anything like that, even if it's legal, so sounds like he left himself open to getting himself banned and dragging Liverpool's name through the mud. He also had problems on tour in the US where there were reports of him bursting in on interviews and not acting professionally, after the drugs fiasco it shows he cannot be trusted. As a footballer, I thought he was good and would be better than Klavan for me as 3rd choice CB, but it's Klopps decision in my book, he knows all the facts, we just know what we hear, Sakho may have opened his heart to the press, I'm sure he will give his version of the story. There's a reason PSG let him go, a young French international, they didn't need the money. Depressing thing is we will probably send him on loan at the last minute tomorrow or sell him for well below the price we bought him for, just to get rid. I can see him going to Southampton for £8million. They double our transfer prices and we half ours !!!
