Eriksen is an attacking midfielder, a position where we are strongest. Would you have him instead of Coutinho, Firmino, Mane or Lallana?

We cannot sign every single player!

Ye I would take erkisen over lallana especially since we spent 25 million on lallana and Erikson went for 12/13. Lallana has done well in recent months but there's so many things around him that remain unanswered. I think Erikson is a lot more consisent. Lallana started off great this season but looks like he's dipped in form in recent games.

I wasn't trying to say we should sign everyone but it also shows there is value out there for players. I am just surprised the bad job our scouts and transfer team seem to do because of how many players we seem to miss.
yes I agree with you also about Erikson over Llalana however there's probably 9 of the 11 other positions I would have Spurs players over ours also starting with the goalkeeper and ending with Harry Kane.

Did you watch their goalkeeper's performance against City?

I certainly did I thought he let two howlers in, doesn't change the fact if you asked any of the Spurs back four would they swap him what do you think they would say, the way I judge a goalkeeper is that every goalie makes mistakes the best ones make the fewest that's why Courtois, De Gea and Hugo Lloris are regarded as the best in the League.

Lallana has been at his best for us this season playing in the central midfield 3 and bursting forward.

Eriksen is an out and out attacking midfielder and couldn't play in a midfield 3, therefore to put him in our side he would need to replace Coutinho, Firmino or Mane, and no I wouldn't have him instead of any of them.

Eriksen is lazy, he wouldn't fit into Klopp's style of play of chasing the ball. Very good set-piece taker and can score but would find it hard to get into our current best 11.
I still say Ox from Arsenal would be a very good addition. We should have offered sick note and some cash because he's not a regular for Arsenal.

I also think it would be worth a try offering Sakho to City in exchange for Hart in the summer. They want rid of Hart and will be looking to change their fragile backline, I think Sakho is better than Otamendi.Kompany looks like he is not going to get over his injuries, so Sakho could do a job for them?

That's the million dollar question Sixties.

Either FSG has said no to transfers which judging by past windows is unlikely, I mean they'd have to give him something to spend right? even a lousy 10-15m?

Or, he was told to sell before he could spend and he (so far) hasn't been able to offload Sakho or Sturridge.

Or, Klopp is a stubborn manager and really believes we can make do. Even though we can all see that we're struggling.

I'm leaning towards the sell before spending one.

It would be an absolute joke if he has been told to sell before he can buy. I would doubt that given how little we spent in the summer.

I think it may be a case that we can't get the players that Klopp wants in this window. At least I hope that's the case.

I'd be surprised if that was the case, we made a profit in the summer transfer Window and we sold allot more payers than we brought in, so we must have reduced the wage bill with the likes of Skrtel/Benteke/Toure/Allen/Balotelli leaving.

Allen is the one transfer I regret letting go, he did well last season, had a good Euro's and seemed to fit into the way Klopp plays, so he would have been good cover if we had kept him.

I believe FSG have given a ceiling for total amount of players in the squad and Klopp would have to sell before he buys because we don't have Europe this season. My problem with this is that at the start of the season that's fair enough when Klopp gets to grips with what he has. However come the January transfer window when you have real opportunity to have a potential title tilt and / or cement a Top 4 place and lucrative access to next seasons CL, that should be re-evaluated on where we are at!
I never can believe a Manager when they say the players aren't out there at the time...more and more these days if the price is right a club will sell unless it's a top, top player!
So where we are at is an impasse between Owners and Manager.
FSG are shooting us in the foot because they are rigid.
Markovic loan to Hull, Sakho playing with the kids and sick note not getting a game, is 3 players that should have been shifted this window permanently for fresh blood and competition!
