Because we bid just over 9m for him at the end of August. There is plenty of talk about us waiting till the summer until his contract runs down and he will be cheaper.

Yeah looks like if we want him we are going to have to fork out on ihm He must not want to leave, he knew of our interest so why did he sign a new deal? he must be happy at Dortmund and want to stay, as signing that deal limits his opportunities to leave, as only a very large bid could now get him.

Yeah, it's the first hint of dissatisfaction coming from Klopp. The owners might want to pull their finger out and back him. No it's not he talks about the difficulties of this [oops] window, if a club is unwilling to sell what are we expected to do pay £10 million over the odds? No thanks, too many post mortems and theories after a defeat , we are a work in progress just need to relax a bit. Bought in Jan cortina and Danny both cheap However both were regular bench warmers at their respective clubs and were seen as surplus to requirements so a transfer would have been easier,regardless that was a good spot by Rodgers/ Transfer committee.Are there any bargains like that available at the minute? Can't think of any.

Could also be that Dortmund are just protecting their interests. Good young prospects are rarely allowed to run down their contracts.
