Origi will give you the pace and work rate that Mane does. It's not a replacement for Mane so I've been told but back up so he is good enough for that as too is Sturridge.
So why didn't he start with any of them on Saturday? I don't think anyone of them was unfit and I don't think Can would have started if Mane was here and fit. By the way, Origi's pace is nowhere near Mane though he does work hard.
They played midweek didn't they? Apart from that I don't know. Origi has started a fair few games as cover for Coutinho and Sturridge in some of the less important games. I expect one or both will also start this week too.
I don't know if you watched that mid week game, but they were both so bad that I think Klopp tried something else, which didn't work neither. In fact he knows he needs to reinforce, this is what he said, but apparently nobody wants to sell. I think his team and himself cocked up.
