Agree that we all wnat him here... and we trust him totally. No one is starting a campaign to have a moan. We are just discussing options.

He may know what he's doing in terms of coaching and devloping players, but what he doesn't have experience of is the premier league and LFC. We the fans have been watching for many years. In the premier league there are 4 or 5 teams to get past to win the league... of which at least 3, maybe more, are better funded. It's not like Dortmund. Hence, Klopp may still be in the process of finding out that opportunities don't arise too often.

by the way... it's good to hear that he doesn't take kindly to suggestions that we are out of the title race. Neither does he go on about aiming for the title. Shows that we are fighting for it irrespective of our chances.

Just for the record, I would like us to sign a player or two.I'm not blind or stupid and can see we could do with more depth. But it has to be the right player for the right price who can improve us.

Yes no more prospects for £ 20 M (*cough cough Markovic cough cough*).

Prospects are fine in small amounts and for small amounts of money. But we have many of those now and really need ready made top class players. If we can't sign any of those it's better to wait until we can find them.

No use unsettling the squad with players that aren't even better than what we currently have.

The problem is... we won't be able to secure the guaranteed top quality players. We can't compete on price or salary. I can't remember the last guaranteed top notch player we signed. The best signings in recent years I remember are:

Mane - £34m. Many worried about the price. Was certainly not a guaranteed success (if there is such a thing)

Lallan - £25m only recently starting to work out.

Coutinho - £8.5m; Sturridge £12m; Suarez £20m ish; Torres £20m ish; Alonso £10m ish.

Have I missed anyone?

So maybe some of our signings have to be in the £10m to £30m bracket and come with the risk of not working out. Maybe we need to be clever about how we move them on at minimal loss if they don't succeed.

Here is what we need to improve before we win a title.

1) A top class keeper. Mignolet or Karius fail to inspire the team.

2) Stop playing square pegs in round holes. Milner is not a defender, neither is Lucas.

3) Investment, our team is not good enough to win the title, we are short in all areas of the pitch.

4) New owners, FSG don't care about the club, they are just in it for the money. We had a negative net spend in the summer, nothing this window, they are clearly more serious about the money than trophies. Time to get rid.

5) Leadership. Nothing on the pitch, where is our. Gerrard, Keane, Adams, Souness, even Joey Barton would show more leadership than our bunch of prima donna's.

6) Anfield crowd, even Klopp mentioned it today, quieter than a library, hardly intimidating to the opposition.

7) Too many average players. How many would get into past great Liverpool teams.

8) Whining fan base that wets the bed everytime we lose or draw.

None of our signings should be in the £ 8-10 M bracket for a number of windows to come.

We need fewer and better players.

Scout well and wait for the right player to pop up and be ready to sign for us at the right price. If we want him then get him signed. To recoup the "lost" money (both transfer fee and salary wise) we just have to make do with fewer prospects than we have now.

I don't understand all the apologists for FSG, those who defend them and say its all part of a cunning plan.

Its not, its having owners who are more concerned about profit than winning trophies and until some of the fanbase get on the same page, then forget winning the title.

FSG will be happy as long as we finish top 4 each season.

In the same way Arsene is untouchable at Arsenal finishing in the top 4 for 19 consecutive seasons.

However the owners at Chelsea, Man City, Man Utd demand success.

For our owners, money is the key, which is why Kenny was sacked after winning the league cup.

And believe me, if Klopp does not finish in the top 4 this season I will expect him to be sacked as well.

Who has defended FSG in this thread? Please quote for us all. The only person that I recall mentioning them in this thread is you.

Every signing is a risk regardless of price. Di Maria anyone? Pogba? Yes I know that the higher the price the better the player etc.etc. but it's still no guarantee.

This is why I always say that we need the right players whether they cost £1m or £100m.
