A lot of posters questioned Gerrard also as capt material, is Rooney capt material for United or is it Zaballeta for City or Lloris for Spurs. I don't think it is a problem

Don't remember anyone in here ever questioning Gerrard as captain?

Yes there were a few

Nope, not that I remember, unless you are including Spangles

Not only him, I even remember some saying Carragher should have been Captain instead of Gerrard.

There was definitely some who questioned taking the captaincy from Sami and wondering if Gerrard was too young.

People also questioned whether Suarez was good enough when we first signed him too.

I wanted Carra as captain.

That job interview was going so well until I realized I was fukked up on acid in the middle of a cornfield naked and talking to a scarecrow.

That's good for u rfc but I think he's not up too it ! He's not inspirational, stevie was

I don't think Henderson is captain material either. But who would you give the job to in his place. Now that's a tough question to answer.

And what would nake Matip a better Captain than Henderson? He is definitely not more inspirational. As I said, if people questionned Gerrard as captain, then anybody can get questionned, I don't think having another captain will change anything. Lloris is captain at Spurs so his impact on players is limited, that doesn't seem to bother them.

Milner is a better choice for Captain. But more important is whether or not we make some decent signings in the next week or two. I fear there will be no one exciting and it will tell in the coming months as we limp "literally" towards the finish line.

I don't think that changing captains will make any meaningful difference
