Gini had a great game and is growing into a position klopp has had him earmarked for the lad is doing great considering it's his first season and has never played the position he's playing now. Fair play to him.

Yes he did, his 2nd goal all season. Solid game but not enough output so my point still stands. Can had the better game overall and this is why I value him more. Don't agree with you at all, Wijnaldum was way better than Can. This is why he also got MOTM, so our point is nil and void. This is why Klopp gets him in the team well ahead of Can. Now if you think you know better, I rest my case. Its not about knowing better don't go there but the stats don't lie for a 24m pound player I expect more than two goals. I just feel and some agree with me on this that he is neither there or here in terms of attacking or defending, he is a safe passer. The reason Can miss passes is because he tries to be positive all the time. If everybody is fit and firing, I feel like Can is more dynamic and offers more and he would start ahead of Wijnaldum for me, thats all. Congratulation on his winning goal, I won't take that away from him. He is playing in a more defensive position than when he was ar Newcastle, you cannot expect everybody to keep scoring regularly, we akready have the biggest number of goals in the EPL so far. His main role is to link defence with attack and work hard to provide the extra man which is so important in Klopp's pressing game, he has been doing that perfectly lately. Having all our midfielders like Coutinho anf Lallana will not win us games. Klopp knows what he needs from a player for his game plan

He is becoming a great midfielder, typical of the great dutch players.

He is becoming a great midfielder, typical of the great dutch players. He played pretty much everywhere for feyenoord and psv. He seems like a Dutch James Milner.

I thought at the time this was a good deal. Even if I wasn't sure of the value (who really cares about the price we pay if they offer us quality)...
He is versatile, hard-working, and capable of doing so much leg-work both on and off the ball. Once he's settled after this season, those goals will happen more and more, but he has grown so much in his position.
If Lallana and Henderson hadn't improved so vastly on their performances for the club previously, I think the widespread acclaim would be with Wijnaldum.
