You guys can't be serious. Captain clumsy Henderson makes a couple of decent passes and he is a maestro(?), yet he gives away possession in dangerous positions and is skinned numerous times by opponents and it goes unnoticed.
Since we have had Wij in the middle the gaping midfield hole has disappeared and this is because he covers good space, is a good tackler and passer, is comfortable on the ball and generally is a decent footballer. If you checked the number of times his passes have created the breach and we went on scoring you won't say that. Without him we wouldn't have won the Chelsea game for sure. Yes he is no Gerrard and not silky but is doing a very good job have to disagree with you there Henderson is a dreadful player, nothin more than a nodding dog with his tongue hanging out, am in despair every time I see this man lead the team out shows how far the club has sunk, dunno what big Ron Yeats, Emlyn, Souey, Phil Thompson and Alan Hansen would make out of it... You surely know more than Klopp, Rodgers and KD together, Genius. Which team are you managing again? My feeling is that Rodgers and Kenny wanted to have a central British figure for the fans to be proud of and to build a team around and were blind to Hendo's glaringly poor talents. Klopp has made it easier for Hendo to not look helpless by sticking him with the back four where he is rarely pressured when he is on the ball. If Can had not been injured and if Hendo was not team captain, I expect Hendo would have been on the bench.

Yes you make some really interesting points there especially about him being captain keeping him off the bench..

Henderson is a real 'Marmite' type player for Liverpool fans, for me he's a good player who is improving, he's no Souness/Whelan/Gerrard, but who is??? if we can replace him, great, as that means Liverpool are improving as a team/squad, but there are more players than need replacing before Henderson IMO.

I can only imagine playing alongside him and Him telling me what to do first thing I would say is you can't even do your own job properly never mind telling me how to do mine...he's awful...

I am sure Klopp sees much more positives than negatives in him else he wouldn't be on the first team sheet even less so being captain. As i said he doesn't look great with the ball but he is one of our best central midfielders with great vision but a bit less great skills. His hardwork covers his weaknesses. The value of such players is more visible when they are not playing.

I just don't see him as awful, we will have to agree to disagree on that, that doesn't mean I think he's great or world class either !!! as I see it, in his position we have Can or Wijnaldum (lucas looks like he's leaving), I don't see either of them doing a better job, so if you dropped/sold him, who would you play in his place, or would you buy someone?

Forget about it. Klopp understands the positives and negatives of players better than you in any case.

Can someone tell me what does this bloke do in matches, what is his role? He looks lost in all of the games I've seen him, he doesn't score goals or assist regularily. He doesn't add a bite in attack and he certainly is not adding steel in the defensive department either, in short he is a passenger. Can should definitely start ahead of him. Hes not a CM. Hes a no 10 or CF. He was very quiet starting off for us but then became solid but in recent games has gone missing again. He needs to work on his goalscoring because hes been getting great opportunities and wasting them. An option could be trying him out wide but then thats playing him out of position from where hes been playing all along and that involves dropping someone else.
