do you think the mistakes this goalkeeper is making are experience problems that will improve in time or just basic goalkeeping incompetence which is an entirely different thing altogether. If you said to me the mistakes were down to him getting barged by centre forwards or trying to catch it under pressure or even lack of communication with his defenders I would say yeah give him time to adjust but these are bog standard basic run of the mill standard goalkeeping faults that goalkeepers face in any league., shot stopping.
Just one more thing to all the people saying give him time why wasn't this applied when Bogdan was given his chance earlier last season, he was slaughtered and people wanted him dropped and he was only young and stepping up from a lower league team....
Personally, I agree they are basic mistakes on the whole. Like the other da when he managed to kick the ball out for a corner from a goal kick. I felt a couple of weeks ago that Klopp had the opportunity to re-instate Migs and allow Karius to perhaps get experience in reserve games or something.
However, I feel we now have to back Klopp. He has a reason and we should let it be and see what happens. If the performance is shaky tomorrow the pres sure will be on Klopp.
As for Bogdan... I agree with the other responses. Klopp obviously sees Karius as a good prospect, albeit currently young and inexperienced in the EPL.
