Lovern needs replacing, he was shocking today. We can't count on him to play well unless he has a top center back like Matip beside him. We need to raid AC Milan and get their young goalkeeper, Gianluigi Donnarumma. He's the new Buffon and that will be our goalkeeping situation sorted for the next 15-20 years. u sound like G.

I agree, but I don't see us winning the league until we have a defence/team capable of closing down a game when we are 1-0/2-0 up, you don't win leagues by winning games regularly 4-3/3-2 and collapsing under some attacking pressure.
But u can dream ..... liverpool don't and won't win Leagues anyway wether they have a good defence and keeper or not, Leicester City was a one off and I can't see that happening again for at least another 20 odd years myself...

Theres only so many games we can get away with outscoring teams before it catches up on us. I would nearly employ someone like pulis or allardyce to take over as defensive coach because some of the decision making by our defenders and GK's is atrocious. Going forward we are immense and great to watch but the whole defensive situation hasnt been sorted. We always look like we are panicking and look like we are gonna concede when a team goes forward against us.
Its a game we lost where we shouldnt but we need to get a win next game. We are 3rd and 4 points off the top. I cant speak for everyone but for me i didnt expect us to be so close to the top at this point in the season. We cant afford to drop points next week especially againsta struggling west ham when we are the home team.
The GK,CB, and LB situation problem needs to be sorted in january or we wont have the chance to contend for top spot after Christmas. We've been excellent up until now but we need to move on from the loss and concentrate on correcting the mistakes we made today and get back to winning ways vs west ham.

As good as the season has been the problem is they needed to open up a gap from the other teams, this hasn't happened and there has been no benefit from no European football while the. Big clubs have, even Spurs who have played champions league are only one win behind...

Because I've suggested we should be interested in signing one player? A player in my opinion who has the world at his feet despite being 17 years old? A player who plays in a position where we are currently seriously weak?

We are probably one of 10 clubs who would like to sign him. We wont play the checkbook game and im happy with that but sometimes you need to play it, and i think we've missed out on some really important signings because of it. The whole clubs theory under the current establishment at board level doesnt allow for overspending on certain players when its most needed. As much as i want him as well i dont think we have a chance.

As much as i want him as well i dont think we have a chance. Maybe not, but Italian clubs aren't exactly the most wealthy at the moment. However I don't understand why I've been compared to another poster who suggests hundreds of players we need to sign every week. Anyway, I don't know what will happen with Joe Hart at the end of this season, could he be an option for us?

Well a new goalkeeper has to be a priority. His shot stopping is as bad as his catching. Mignolet should be back in goal next game, he didn't deserve to be dropped in the first place. Also I suspected that Lucas at centre back was going to cost us at some point. He was all over the place today really shocking performance. The performance of those two, along with the teams general complacency, it looked like the players dropped off and thought the game was won both occassions we went 2 goals up. For those reasons the players and manager are equally to blame, poor team selection and drop in effort from the players. Hopefully we can react like we did after Burnley but if we stick with Karius and Lucas more dropped points will follow the next few weeks.
