agreed .

Are you being serious Faz? I'd expect better from you.

This time last season everyone was demanding Mignolet be dropped for Adam Bogdan, probably the worst goalkeeper I've ever seen play for Liverpool.

Now its like Mignolet is the saviour, the reality is neither of our goalkeepers are good enough, Mignolet has proved that over three seasons and Karius in the games he's played so far.

I agree about dropping Karius but to say Mignolet should never have been dropped and is playing well is completely wrong. Some people have seriously short memories.

I don't remember a majority on here wanting Bogdan as number 1. I've always backed Mignolet to be our goalkeeper. I also agree in getting a good young keeper in Karius as competition. It's not our goalkeepers that have let us down. They have been mismanaged. Dropping Mignolet who was playing really well this season shows Klopp doesn't have confidence in him. So we now have two confidence-shot keepers.

Good game management and Mignolet in net and we win the game comfortably.

Like we did last year against Southampton?

Having no decent replacement for Matip cost us today, having to play a CM who's not good enough for CM anymore as CB cost us.

We'll just forget about the countless mistakes made by Mignolet in the last 3 years then.

And there were plenty of other players making mistakes today, Lovren being an obvious one but its easier to choose the easy target isn't it?

agree that the gk situation has been mismanaged. Mignolet proved over 3 seasons that he wasn't reliable. We needed someone better. Presumably Klopp though Karius is better. If not, then that was mismanagement no. 1 - why by a new keeper unless he's better than what you already have?.

Thereafter, assuming Klopp did think Karius is better then it was right to bring him in to the first eleven as soon as he was fit. However, he obviously isn't better than Migs. So we can only assume that Klopp misjudged his abilities.

The big question now is what next? we obviously need a better keeper. Who stays and who goes? and When?

I don't think we can judge Karius yet, he has played about 12 games in a new league with a struggling defence in front of him, he needs to be given a season to settle in.

Look at De Gea's first season, he was all over the place, now he's one of the best keepers in the world.

Mignolet can be judged as he was our regular keeper for 3 years and was not good enough.

We need to strengthen the defence infront of Karius, bring in another quality CB to challenge/replace Matip/Lovren when required and bring in a decent LB as Milner is doing well but is not a LB and Moreno cannot be relied upon.

I think we can judge him now. I'm not saying he won't be good enough in the future, but at this point in time he's not better than Migs it seems. do we take a risk and in effect let him use this season as training for the future? Or do we play out best team for this season?

I don't think Mignolet is better than Karius at the moment, they are both a similar level, so I think we should stick with Karius and trust that he will improve with experience of the league/team.

We also need to improve the defence, as that is where we lost the game today, we cannot close down a game and cave in as soon as we are put under pressure.

We've lost two league games this season.

Joel Matip didn't play in either.

Yep, the fact that our third choice CB is a 30 year old CM show's our problem.

Klopp must not fancy Klaven as Lucas is in before him, Sakho will never play for us again, so we need to get at least 1 more CB in for third place and get rid of Sakho.
