Looking at the table looking at the talent at Liverpool looking at our lack of European distractions looking at how open the premiership is these days looking at there is no outright strong team or teams looking at how Leicester did last year I would say there is no reason whatsoever Liverpool cannot win the premiership title this year and this must be our goal

I agree, we have as much a chance of any of the top teams, I like how Klopp seems to be saying that also rather than just ruling us out/saying top 4.

Let's see where we are in the New Year, Man City looked favourites this time last year and they dropped off.

It can be our aim but why even mention it 9 games in? Far too kuch football to be played and far too much can happen in the next 29 games.

Because.....

Isn't that what the sport is all about are you saying we can't contemplate anything until all fixtures are played football is about dreams and hopes I remember when we aspired to the title every year there is no reason we can't now and yes I am aware of setbacks we have had nothing else for neigh on 30 years. But don't deny me my dreams

We're a quarter of the season in, we have seen enough of our rivals to know there are no real standout teams who will run away with it, so we are in with a chance like the rest of our rivals.

I can see this year being close all the way, with 3-4 teams with a realistic chance come easter. Hopefully all our rivals have long hard European runs which could make the difference. This weekends results have gone our way, I think allot of that is the post European games that teams struggle with.

I'm not denying anyone anything. You go ahead and dream as I think we all are. But I'm not going to get carried away at this very early stage. If we're still in the same position come the new year then maybe.

I am not getting carried away don't worry I have had decades of false dawns I am under no illusions but it's good to have something to strive for and the title is realistic given the circumstances this year

exactly, even if we are playing the best football and are the best team we have to prove it. if you say you are the best team then you can be targeted. one good week of results and already people can't be grounded it's a bit deplorable isn't it

No one is saying we are the best just given the competition there is no reason we can't finish top of them is that deplorable ? In which case my following of Liverpool since 1963 has been deplorable because I always hope we win when I think we have a chance
