Is anyone else sick to the back teeth (pun intended) of the amount of forum space Bren takes up? No, I wouldn't say that, but what I do find sad and rather pathetic is the extent of abuse Rodgers has shipped, both during his time here and since then. But then there is some weird and wonderful characters on this site, most of whome wouldn't know football management from a pig's tit.

I think the reason Rodgers gets a lot of stick now is down to one poster who has to try and run Klopp down at every oppertunity while trying to tell us what a success Rodgers was.
Rodgers was ok at best and didn't and doesn't deserve the stick he gets. He got the best out of us for one season and for whatever reason couldn't build on that.

Brendan was a top manager and was very successful for a lot of his time here, in particular that amazing 2013/14 season.
In his final full season when results weren't as good (although we did get to two semi-finals and our league points counts was still respectable), I felt he was unlucky as he didn't have the team to use his style of play. Also when your British and not a fashionable name and haven't got the glittering CV, most fans aren't going the manager much time.
But no doubt one of the best managers we have had in recent times. A top manager has trophies against his name - Brendan has none. How can you consider his time here a success when we didn't win anything? You're just one of those people who doesn't have an opinion, you'll just pick up when people are overly negative of someone and go against the grain, like you're playing devils advocate. If we all suddenly started slating Klopp you'd probably pop your blow up doll of Brendan and buy a Klopp one to get off to. I don't agree, I think RS has something with Brendan who I think is the only manager who couldn't bring us a trophy over 3 seasons. In fact, he has never won anything and when you see how Celtic is doing in CL, you have all your answers.

Rodgers may not have won a trophy but come on ! He has come the closest of our managers to winning the premiership title and playing fantastic football that season and getting the maximum from the players he effectively turned Suarez into a world star yes there were problems later for sure but you can't just airbrush something like that out

Suarez was always a world star in the making despite of being managed by Rodgers,if we could of sustained the quality we showed that season without Suarez then maybe I could start to acknowledge Rodgers as a better manager than what I think he is.
That job interview was going so well until I realized I was fukked up on acid in the middle of a cornfield naked and talking to a scarecrow.

In the position we were in before the 2013/14 season trophies weren't on the agenda, and the only mention of a trophy was may be a League or FA Cup to alleviate some of the negativity from not competing in the league for several years. Rodgers exceeded all expectation, trophy or no trophy, he was a success and some of the football we played was amazing. The goal that year for the majority was to scrape top 4, a clear success.

We had a team around Suarez playing really well. He helped turn Sterling into one of the best teenagers in the world, Henderson into a first 11 international player. Flanagan was called up to the England squad, Sturridge turned into one of the most potent strikers in the world, Coutinho became a really influential, top, top player. And he did help Suarez turn into one of the best players in the world. What makes it an even great achievement is the relatively low investment in players in the summer of 2013.

Maybe but it was the period under Rodgers that propelled him to another level I recall under dalglish plenty on koptalk saying Suarez was no good as a striker they are not saying that now he is one of the best in the world a lot of the youngsters also came good under Rodgers he had his faults you can't deny that but let's keep things in balance
