Henry will only build additional seating if he can build them as corporate stalls, that's where the money is and Henry is all about the money, he doesn't give a Fu*k about football or about the ordinary fan!
His glib comment about the fan protest last season smacks of vindictive revenge, and that's a trait very unbecoming of an owner in any line of business. This club and it's fans are too good for the likes of him and the sooner he takes his profits and rides off into the sunset the better for all concerned.

We aren't a charity. We aren't a billionaires play thing. We are a self sufficient well run club.
Just a thought but maybe the Red Sox 'rounders' team are pretty popular. Maybe they have a lot of fans who pay a lot of money on merchandise and tickets making it possible for them to splash out on record deals. After all. We have broke all our records since they arrived.

This story pretty much sums up everything said against FSG in relation to the stadium they have no interest in the club or its long term future at any level. Unless the investment returns to their criteria it's a none starter. As for us not being a billionaires plaything if it's their plaything then at least they have an interest in the club or even the sport. Moores for all his faults loved the club how can you be an owner of a club and not be interested in its fortunes ?

Not to mention the benefits to the fans and hopefully to the atmosphere which would benefit the team itself. It would't even cost them anything, it pays for itself within about 10 years and the money must be there to fund it, seen as we made a 60 million profit last year and spent no money on transfers this year.

We made 60m profits last year? Links please

It's in the clubs most recent annual accounts and also announced on official website. You can see the accounts on companies house website or google it, as I can't paste the link in here for some reason.

Liverpool FC have 4 times as many fans as The Boston Redsox and it's been proven that Liverpool FC could sell a lot more tickets with a much bigger capacity. But FSG are trying to validate pushing prices up so they don't have to wait to see the fruits of their labour, it contradicts their "In it for the long haul" stance! If they continue to keep up this mediocre midtable stand, Liverpool FC fanbase will dwindle because the younger generation won't find us appealing to support because of our lack of success on the pitch!

We also moan about 4 times as much. They said when they arrived that they weren't gonna take from the club. So we can assume that they aren't just gonna blow all their money on the club either.

I don't agree with ticket price hike but aside from them just paying £200 mil for a new stand how else are we gonna pay for it?
Seeing as you're complaining about a ticket going up £10 a week do you think they're really happy about having to fork out another £200mil?

They aren't allowed to make a profit during a transfer window either according to you.

These days corporate boxes/packages are subsidising the normal fans tickets, its abit like people forced to go on summer holidays due to children's holidays are subsidising keeping holiday prices cheap for the rest of the year.

I am never sure where these quotes come from saying we have 4 times the capacity waiting for tickets, I know there is a big waiting list, but this is for the option to buy season tickets, its not a contract to buy, if we have 50,000 on the waiting list, it could be 5,000 actually who could/will buy a season ticket when it comes down to it. I know the club cleaned up the waiting list a few years ago in preparation for the main stand increase, were official figures ever released on the waiting list numbers?

I hope we increase the main stand, I think a 60,000 stadium would be a good size and would mean we are competitive with our rivals, I'm guessing FSG are making statements like that to fire a shot across the bow for the fans/groups, just like the fans fired one at them. I am sure if it makes financial sense for the club, FSG will do it as it will all add to the financial income/selling price.

FSG won't cut off their nose to spite their face when it comes to money !!!

If match going fans who are basically the consumers of the product do not want to pay more, I don't know who will. If I am not mistaken, the Emirates tickets were 75% more of the Highburry ones, and the Arsenal fans paid more. This is why I always said a new stadium is not sustainable unless somebody gifts one to LFC. Yes, you will talk of the brand I know, but if the brand doesn't bring that kind of revenues, then what?

Yep, London cannot be compared to Liverpool for economics, allot of the fans who went to Highbury have probably been priced out the game, but since the Premier League Brand has become so popular, there are plenty of well off fans in Islington/Camden who think nothing of splashing out a couple of hundred pounds for a trip to the Emirates, not that many of the current Liverpool fans could do that, there are rich fans etc, I'm not saying there aren't, but the financial scale of London to Liverpool cannot be made.
