I think Mario Balotelli was blamed for certain things he shouldnt of been blamed for but got away with a lot that went unnoticed as well. I know other clubs situations have nothing to do with Liverpool but if you look back at 2 key situations with Mario before he came to Liverpool we shouldnt of ever bought him...

1. At Inter Milan, Mourhino played him in a champions league game which I dont recall but Inter got a massive result and Mario was throwing his jersey on the ground after the game. Im almost 100% sure they beat Barca and he threw the jersey on the ground because he was upset with teammates. He was only young and had a great opportunity and he was throwing his toys out of the pram,

2. At Man City, the way Balotelli treated Mancini was absolutely disgraceful. Mancini defended him down to the ground and moved mountains for him and Balotelli never repaid him for it. It couldve been one of the factors in Mancini getting sacked as well. Ye he scored a few nice goals for them but when he was most needed he never showed any thanks to the manager.

I felt sorry for Rodgers in some ways but I do think he shouldve said "i never wanted Balotelli" when he was at the club rather than after, because what that says to the fans is hes happy to get paid as long as things tick over i think. My memories of Balotelli at Liverpool is of him falling to the ground anytime anyone was close to him. He always wanted to go to ground even in the most ridiculous scenarios. Hes a player that shouldve never been bought anywhere near the club because his persona and mentality goes against everything this great club stood for.

Yeah I strongly disagree with all that.. mario got a hero's welcome in the main..the slagging he might have got he got as a result of his actions in his career , but again in the main he was welcomed. he did balls nothing here from day 1, never did a tap. this 3 or 4months u refer to is only in ur head.. the game away to qpr i think it was one of his first games and he never moved just stood around..he is a disgrace of a player.. my most hated player ever.. running out to get ipads instead of training - he has no defence..he is a big baby coward ,I kinda feel sorry for him in a way but then hate him in a way too.

It was a no-brainer for FSG...
Balotelli was entering the last year of his 90+k a week contract, nobody wanted to pay his wages on a loan or pay a transfer fee for him, hence why it was left so late in him going to Nice. FSG were hoping somebody would pay his full wages on loan to fluff the books further...no overheads of his wages but having his transfer market value.
Had he stayed it would have cost FSG approx' 5m in wages for the last year, although I'm certain had nobody wanted him, a severance fee would have been arranged.
Balotelli was the worst signing Liverpool FC have ever made and there has been some rancid ones, down the years. Not a Rodgers signing but a stronger Manager would not have accepted being bullied into taking him, so Rodgers must shoulder some blame for being such a flake!
