As far as owners go I just think we could do worse. Look at Man city as the best case scenario. We are a million miles away In terms of stadium squad playing staff everything.
But villa were bought same time as we were. They're the worst case. But you have owners like the ones at QPR or Cardiff.
I don't care if john Henry doesn't care. As long as he keeps reinvesting the advertising and TV revenues I'm happy. As long as he keeps trying to make us successful I'm happy. People forget that if we are successful on the pitch. We would make him more money. Surely it's in his best interests to want to succeed too.
SUCCESSFUL? We havent been successful in years. We havent won the league in 26 years. We have competed for the league probably 3 times since then. We had a huge revival in the league in the 2000s but the last 6/7 years have been bad...really bad.
Dont mention investments please. We made a profit from the transfer market this summer. And the massive tv deal figure sitting in the bank. We havent competed for top 4 simple as that. The one year we did get it was when 4/5 teams were going through a massive transition. FSG dont give a f*k about liverpool. Show up when we make it to finals and thats it.
Yea lets extend the stadium (which i agree with) but lets be a failure on the most important thing, the pitch. By Liverpool standards we have been a failure in recent years. We can get back to where we once were but no under a group of owners only there to keep the club ticking over before they make a profit.
