When you look at the team now, we have brought in better players than we sold, so we are a better team, we have also got players Klopp wants and fit his system. But this is an ongoing change, Klopp is not going to ship out all the players he doesn't want in 1 transfer Window and replace them with all the players he wants.

Whether we have done this with a positive budget or negative budget does not matter to me, as long as the club can afford it, the fact the club is being ran sensibly and won't go bust is good news.

I would rather we do not end up as a multi-billionaires play thing like Chelsea or Man City.

The reason fans from the clubs you have mentioned were not calling for Roman to leave , blaming mansour for wasting money on the players you mention is....

City , Chelsea have been winning trophies in the last 6yrs..

The LB, DM & CB positions are crucial specialized positions and expecting to have utility players to cover these areas as and when needed is folly. The necessity because of injury to one player, we could get away with, but to expect more than one player to do it on a regular basis will undermine every expectation we have for this season.
We chased a wet behind the ears kid who had, had zero experience with the Leicester 1st team...as our competition for Moreno's position and we were priced out of him. The transfer window opened on 1st July and we are now at 19th August, we've had approx' 50 days officially to target and sign a LB...we now have less than 2 weeks to go until we are left high and dry with our specialized LB (IF YOU CAN CALL HIM THAT)who has been a high majority of our Achilles Heel for the previous 2 seasons! I don't for one minute buy that Klopp is happy with FSG's transfer policy. We were given the same bluff and bluster under Rodgers' regime, then when Brenda left we got the true side of the pathetic Transfer Committee where Mike "Flash" Gordon compiles lists of players via his Fantasy Football Manager stats from which our Manager is to choose from. Our Manager ranks them in order of his preference and the token scouser duly goes out and takes an age bartering with beads, those ranked 50+ and above, never anybody our Manager has chosen as a 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th...20th...30th...40th on his preferential list! It's complete bollo*ks! Klopp was ideal for FSG because he'd done well in a league where there is very little in the way of competition other than Bayern Munich and transfer budgets are miniscule compared to the prem league.
Yes it's great finding a bargain BUT all the fecking time is detrimental to any kind of success...it's already being proven 5 years / nearly 6 years under FSG and we have 1 trophy to show for it!
I love Klopp but behind closed doors I'm sure he's just as furious as a lot of the fans (me included) on our frugal mentality. FSG need to feck off...SOON, or we'll fall further than 8th in the league and destroying a very good young Manager's enthusiasm for the game into the process!

You lads that are pissing and moaning all the time should start a protest to get Klopp out as in your daily rants about FSG you forgot that Klopp is the person buying the players. He also said he is happy working with FSG. He is also making the calls on players that he thinks that cost to much.

Do You really think that Klopp one of the most sought after and top coaches in world football came here knowing that he had to work under conditions that he was not happy with??

Do you think Klopp is a YES man like Rodgers? That he meet with FSG and was not happy with how they operated the club? But thought "hey I better take this job at this club that have been more or less unsuccessful for years as I probably won't get a better gig? if you do then you are the one that is touched.

Chilwell as I posted, was a ridiculous idea in the 1st place (wet behind the ears kid?)priced out of him.... as competition to Moreno?
Not every purchase is a success BUT generally the cream rises to the top and are consistent week in week out, hence their price!
Carroll was very unlucky with injuries with us. Benteke was all that was out there at the time and was an impulse buy...there was no rhyme nor reason how he could fit into the way the team plays. Markovic may still come good...he never settled straight away and got limited time from the bench to be shipped out on loan. Moreno was another ill planned player, i'm sure looked good statistically on Flash's version of FM 13/14.
Let's not forget Dalglish also purchased Suarez when we bought Carroll...I would say this was the ONLY time in FSG's tenure that a Manager of ours got to choose who he wanted! Since then our Managers have been told who we can choose from and at what price!

Klopp always had an affinity to Liverpool FC, he truly wants to restore Liverpool FC to legend status. However he has very little in the way of experience of a club with such a global following. You or I are not privy to what or how FSG sold the idea of Klopp becoming Liverpool FC Manager...I'm sure in the future we'll find out. Yes other Bigger clubs would be interested in Klopp but at the time those clubs had Managers and Klopp may not have had the same sort of affinity to them?
Every Manager bar one or 2 in world football has to toe the party line to a degree with Owners, I do think FSG have told more than a few white lies at Liverpool FC and Klopp is currently in the honeymoon period...
