There is not a reds fan who didnt expect the signing of a LB - Fact

The reason we have not signed them is because we have no money - Fact

We have to wait for the Benteke money before we make our next move - Fact

Our net spend will be less than WBA and Burnley, but its ok, because we have a better team than last year lol, errrrr, where did we finish in the league last year, was it possible to have a worse team?????

So because we had a terrible team last year and we have slightly improved that so far this year, whoop, that will get us challenging for the top 4 and then all that money we have saved, once we are in the champs league, our owners will go hard with a 150mil in the market lol.

And then the alarm clock goes off and we are back to reality.

Grujic may be the defensive mid. Or Milner. Or hendo. Or Can. Or Matip.
We haven't signed a left back. Fact. The window isn't closed. That's also a fact.
We have money. Tons from TV and tons from sales.
We don't have to wait till Benteke moves as we already spent money.

Your facts aren't really facts. They're your opinion.

it is a fact that we have only spent, well, less than so far, what we have bought in via player sales.

It is a fact that we had the whole summer to bring in a LB but apparently there isn't anyone in the world suitable for us and here we are into the new season without one.

It is also a fact that you are now stating that because we haven't signed a DM, we can cover with Hendo or Milner or Matip etc - Add the fact that "cover" isn't good enough.

It is also a fact that the word "cover" has been used continuously for our lack of a LB, with some of the names above mentioned as "cover".

"Cover" is for an injury during or before a game, even for a limited period of time. "Cover" is not a term that can be used when your net spend is at -15m and you are using the fact that it is ok, as we will just play players out of position. #Fact!

We need a left back. I don't like Moreno. I'd like someone to replace him rather than provide competition. I'd also like a defensive mid. But Matip hasn't looked great in defence and played DM for schalke and Cameroon on many occasions.

If what you say is true and we have no money. Then with Benteke going for 30mil it means we now have 30mil to spend on a left back and DM. There's still 11 days left of the window. I don't believe that Milner is gonna be our only other option for left back.

With Benteke. Balotelli and maybe even Ings going. On loan or permanent. I wouldn't be surprised to see a forward come in too.

I expected or hoped for a DM but if Klopp doesn't play that way, why would he buy one.

A new LB is a possibility with 2 weeks left of the window - FACT.

We have no money is not a fact just an assumption and we know what they make.

Could we have finished worse last year? Yes. We finished 8th so could have been a lot worse.

We're looking at things realistically. We needed rid of dead wood, players that weren't good enough or never would be. The fact that we've made good money on some of them is a bonus. We've also improved the first team and if you can't see that then there's no helping you.

Can I ask a question? Would you have been happy for us to spend what we have without getting rid of anyone and hence having a +£70m something net spend?

What i would have been happy with is the money from sales + a transfer budget, at the moment and it looks increasingly like Klopp was told to sell to buy.

We had a shocking defence last year, we got rid of Skrtel and signed Matip on a free and Klavan. Seriously?, for a defence that was as bad as it was, it needed serious investment. Instead we spent a total of 9m (including Karius) on solving the problems in that defence, which is at best, atrocious still.

Ok, so if we were not going to invest properly in that defence, at the very least we should have had someone into shield it, no, not that either.

Nothing has changed, we look dangerous going forward,, we look a shambles defensively. But i dont understand, are we saying that we dont want to invest to improve that,or are we saying we cant, its 1 or the other, there is no middle here and I for 1 don't believe for a second that we wouldn't want to improve it.

The owners are 2 bob tramps, they have spent what they have had in on transfers, havent stumped a penny from their pockets, whilst pocketing the tv rights cash. If you cant see that, it is concerning.

Your whole idea that money spent equates to how good a player is, is wrong. We spent 50million on markovic and Benteke.

Yet any Liverpool fan would rather have origi and coutinho. £18.5mil

Yes we've spent 9mil in karius and klavan. But 12 mil was spent on Moreno. Which was better value?

I'd say the -15mil spend this summer is better than the summer we signed lovren lallana and markovic or the summer we signed Benteke. Or the summer we signed Allen and borini.

I've said it a few times. I don't care how much me spend or who we buy. as long it improves the side.

The only part of the defence that needs sorting is the LB. How you can say it's still shocking after 1 competitive game is beyond me, especially as Matip hasn't played there yet and we still have Sakho. If we don't invest in a LB I'll be disappointed for sure.

You also have to ask if Klopp wants to 'improve' things. He sees these players day in day out and is one of the best around. He's not known for throwing money around and has said he'll only buy the right players to improve the team and rightly so. If you like Klopp as a manager then trust in what he is doing. Just because it's not what you want doesn't make it wrong.

And you say that FSG are pocketing the TV money yet they've not taken a cent out of the club. Look at the accounts and they'll tell you the same.

let's just get behind the team, you may think we're a shambles defensively, but arsenal controlled the first half without creating many chances.

we stay organized no matter what, defend narrow and width in attack.
