Reports are that we were hoping to sign Zielinski & Chilwell and that is it. Now Gomez is injured we will bring in another center back and Zielinski is going to milan so maybe Allen will stay. We won't be signing Hector. It will be Robertson from Hull if we fail with Chilwell. And Lacazette won't be coming either.

We are standing firm on our valuations for players and not paying over the odds like we have in previous seasons, this shows clubs selling they negotiate or we walk.

Strange thing is Udinese seem happier to sell to a rival in their own league in Napoli or Milan, you'd think they'd prefer to sell overseas to us than a Serie A rival, same for the fans? like when we sold Suarez, I would have hated him to goto a rival like Arsenal/Chelsea etc and strengthen them while weakening us.

I know it's highly unlikely, but with Chelsea signing Kante, what does that mean for Matic?

He's been linked with Juve all summer for about £27m. I'd go for him. Would be just what we need if he could be tempted.

For £27m he'd definitely be worth it. Him and hector and I think we'd have a good enough team for a title challenge next season with only the league to focus on (assuming that Karius and Matip do turn out to be upgrades)

They reckon Matip played 20% of his games for Schalke as a DM
