with other top clubs strengthening with quality managers, players and new stadiums, this transfer window has to be a block buster for LFC.
Otherwise even with Jurgen Klopp in charge, we will struggle to keep up with Chelsea, West Ham, Arsenal, Citeh, United and Leicester.
The top 4 is becoming a top 6 or eight and we could struggle to be top 8 this season.
There has to be some serious changes in scouting and recruitment at the club as year after year we flirt with talented players but don't seem to get taken seriously.
Liverpool had a super scouting and recruitment setup in the past. What went wrong?

I am not obsessed with finding a DM, sometimes u sign one and thats all they can do.. Demebele at spurs is class and can do everything. Lucas is very limited player, allen is good but can be swarmed on the back foot, can has a lot of learning to do. Witsel looked very comfortable on the ball but there was a bit of a flaky air to his game. +1 but could they play in CM partnership together, they are similar players, emre being much younger can't see klopp luring mousa from spurs anyway, yea I'm not obsessed about finding a dm, but surely it's equally hard finding someone who can press more effectively than hendo from cm and add some creativity. like I said though does a b2b player even work with a holding midfielder, not very natural to me

Window's been open 5 days and we've signed first a first 11 GK, CB, RW as well as another promising CM. We're clearly after another starting CM due to our firm interest in Dahoud, Zielinski and now Neves and we're clearly looking for another LB. As far as I can tell, all problem areas have already been addressed or they are being actively sought, chill out a bit.

We will be playing 1 game a week for most of the season, last time that happened we almost won the league. We've signed 2 of Bayern's backroom staff purely to increase the squad's ability to out-perform other teams physically, despite playing fewer games than our rivals. It will be interesting to see how Spurs and Leicester do with midweek CL games, not particularly well I'd imagine.
There has to be some serious changes in scouting and recruitment at the club as year after year we flirt with talented players but don't seem to get taken seriously.
We only manage to flirt and not get much further because we haven't had any recent notable success and we can't afford to buy our way into player's pants. If we've managed to actually get our foot slightly in the door (as we did with Mkhitaryan, Willian, Gotze etc) then there is nothing wrong with out scouts, they've picked the right players, it the closers that aren't doing their job well enough, or as previously mentioned, the fact we can't offer what Chelsea/ Utd can to make up for no CL.
Liverpool had a super scouting and recruitment setup in the past. What went wrong?
Competition got stronger, Billionaires bought our rivals and now the TV money means everyone can afford a 30m player. Also we've been through 3/4 mediocre managers in the last 10 or so years, hardly a recipe for stability, and highly unlikely to increase our pull for big players.
