I think this was covered in the shout box last night but what the fukk was that Zaza clown doing with his run up???? I've never seen anything like it and laughed my moobs off when he missed.

Pele deserves a mention too. If you're going to tell the keeper what you're going to do, you might want to actually do it and score!

What a couple of absolutely shitte penalties and I hope Conte tore them a new one after that!

There were some awful penalties last night! Pelle's was the worst for me but Zaza wasn't far behind. Schweinsteiger's penalty was awful too.

Yeah, the commentators said similar, taking penalties is huge pressure anyway, so raising the bar by trying to show Neur how you will beat him is just plain silly and you better score. To be fair, it was great goal keeping from Neur, he was obviously getting in the penalty takers heads hense their behaviour, by just being Neur !!!

They possess the belief energy and fantastic desire, all totally and disgustingly lacking for their next door neighbours.

Come on, it's not as simple as that. Hodgeson was a d!ck for playing players out of position. They all looked confused in that last game and don't get me started on Kane taking set pieces.

We went through qualifying playing well with everyone where they're used to being. Then we get to the tournament and he changes it all. I'm not surprised we went out after that and uncle Woy wasted an opportunity in my eyes.

Yep you're right kp. But it annoys me when people keep banging on about our players having no passion like the Welsh. It's way too simplistic and to say a professional at the highest level has no passion for his sport or for representing his country is just wrong.

Wales haven't got by on passion and trying hard they do actually have some top level players for once instead of a load of league 1 players and that's why they're doing well.

...And the Welsh manager is setting his team up right, with the right players in the squad, the right starting XI, the right tactics, and most importantly with the right energy boosted into those players.

Football is after all a team game, and the Welsh are certainly looking like a team - not just a bunch of individuals!

Uncle Werthers on the other hand didn't set the England team up at all, didn't pick the right squad, repeatedly changed the starting XI (but Rooney and Sterling were wrongly favoured), choose Medieval hoof ball tactics and finally didn't have more energy to offer his team than an old exhausted squirrel!

Team England never looked anything similar to a real team in the tournament!

Iceland is a TEAM too. On individual merits they should never even have come close to England, but look what happened. It couldn't all be down to pure luck on their behalf, could it?

I think there is an element of passion missing from england, well maybe not passion maybe spirit.. every single one of ur players against iceland was in their own little scared bubble - just thinking of the sun headlines - no captain to gee up kane when he made a balls of things, no player talking to the other players.. heaven forbid but u need John vinnie jones Terry there.

The difference is when an irish player or a welsh player puts their jersey on, they are willing to go through hell for that jersey. When most, but not all, English players put their jersey on its more like a novelty. Im not from England and im not booting them because i support them when we are out of tournaments or get knocked out.

Ill give you an example. Someone like Rooney shows up for england matches and passes the ball sideways for 90 mins. Someone on England might win a penalty and he'll take it and score and he looks like a legend for scoring 2 goals against the might san marino. Then you take Ireland, who arent all that good at football, we play with passion and teamwork and sometimes the quality we do have in small amounts steps up and its enough for us to win. Thats the main reason we qualified.

You have players in that English team that are a disgrace to their country and bring shame on past great players England have produced - Linkekar, Charlton, Gazza, Barnes the list goes on and on. If england hadve been knocked out the other night, and every player gave 100% then it wouldve been accetable everyone could turn around and say Iceland were the better team on the night or whatever reason.

The new England manager whoever that is, should drop 90% of that squad who went to the world cup and tell them they need to fight for that position and jersey. As much as it pains me giving credit to a Utd player, that rashford guy played a few mins for England and was much better than sterling was, and he played 2/3 full games.

Bill shankly once said "For a player to be good enough to play for Liverpool, he must be prepared to run through a brick wall for me then come out fighting on the other side." This should be applied to England as well as liverpool.
