Liverpool have given southampton 92+ million to southampton in the last 2 seasons. In that time we have gone from 2nd in the league to 8th. Time to stop signing f*king players off southampton, sick of it at this stage now... This says it all for me. If we keep buying players from mid-table clubs like Southampton who class finishing in the top half as a success we cannot expect to be anything other than a mid-table team. Still Mane is here now, I hope he does well and proves he is worth what is an enormous and potentially club record transfer fee! Ye same mate i wanna see him do well but its hard to see in my opinion...If hes a failure someone has to answer for it, be it transfer committee and john henry himself, but this pi*stake of paying well over the odds for ordinary players is getting beyond a joke....At times i think the liverpool set up is the blind leading the blind.

According to Klopp, his impressive displays for Senegal, Red Bull Salzburg and the Saints in recent years made him a priority target this summer.
“I have followed Sadio for a lot of years since his impressive performances in the Olympics in 2012, and then watched his development in Austria and in his time at Southampton,” he said.
“Since I came here I have spoken to the staff a lot about him and have always felt he could be a very good signing for us.
Klopp wanted him, that's good enough for me, I couldn't care less what he cost.

Klopp wanted him but we wouldnt pay 30+ million for him, yet i think he had a much better goal scoring record than Mane if i remember correctly... Its hard to trust anything that comes from the club at times while FSG are there...I dont need to mention the whole balotelli isnt coming to liverpool and 2 weeks later .... the rest is history

I think we dodged a bullet with Texiera, didn't he end up going to China? I agree with you about FSG but I don't think Klopp would've taken the job if he had to deal with the same restrictions that Rodgers did. We gotta have a bit of faith in the manager.

As Del says, we dodged one there for sure. He wanted to come to us or a big team in Europe to further his international career and then went to China! His price was getting up towards £40m if I remember and that in itself would've been a massive gamble. At least Mane knows the EPL.

Well I guess we'll find out in the next few months. Hopefully they won't cause so much hysteria whoever they are.

I just hope Jurgen runs it passed us before spending anymore money.
That job interview was going so well until I realized I was fukked up on acid in the middle of a cornfield naked and talking to a scarecrow.

Perhaps we should write him a list of our preferred targets?
