True, Kane looks spent and the hell is he doing taking ur corners. Russia are the worst team in the euro's so you will have to step it up .

A draw is not a disaster, bit of a farce what happened considering england dominated from start to finish. I bet milner is beating himself up about it, please do milner, I'm fed up of seeing players run past you much like the europa league final for sevilla's* second goal and now this. This is very possibly one of the traits we need in our holding midfielder someone who is agile, I think wanyama is quite agile, not saying he's the perfect choice though. I agree, Wanyama would be good for us, I remember when he came on in the Southampton game we were 2-0 up at half time and turned the game around for them, he really dominated the midfield with his strength and movement, he also keeps it simple when he gets the ball.

I have no idea what the thinking was in letting kane as our striker take those corners? Especially when you could see it wasn't working at all with time running out.

Yep, doesn't seem to make much sense, Kane is good in the air and has a good shot on him, so you would think he would be best in the box to finish. It's not like his delivery is so good that you would be missing out on it. I also think we missed a trick not bringing Vardy on near the end to stretch their defence, with Vardy's speed on the break he would have terrified them, I would have took Sterling or Kane off for Vardy.

Although a diehard LFC fan, I have also loved Celtic for many years as my "second team" and watched them on TV at every possible opportunity since the days of analogue Sky. Wanyama impressed the hell out of me on his debut and kept improving, can't help but think the big clubs are put off by his origins in Scottish football. £10-15 million would buy a potentially great and immensely strong midfielder nowhere near his peak.

I agree, he would fit well in Klopp's system of pressing play and with his experience of the PL, he would be less of a risk than the players we are being linked with from South America and European leagues. He is in the last year of his contract so looks like Southampton are going to have to sell, papers are quoting around £12 million, so that would be good business. I am guessing we are trying to offload players like Allen/Lucas before we buy, worry is we will miss players while we try to sell.

At the rate the scummy meat head vile inguuuulund inguuuuuulund so called fans are behaving, the team could be booted out of the tournament soon anyway. Its always the same at every tournament Growler, the so called England fans that follow the team always embarrass our country. I honestly think FIFA should starting making us play games behind closed doors, not just friendlies either, important games. Every tournament its England fans misbehaving and smashing up the local businesses and every time our government or police force blame it on a minority, its not a minority, its every single time. Could you imagine if we hosted a tournament and foreign supporters started smashing up our streets and businesses? Their would be full on riots everywhere. Rant over! Upsetting scenes but only caused by a minority of England fans not by all England fans. Probably a minority but nothing new, English normal complex of superiority and arrogance I suppose. It runs a lot deeper than that Vish but realising it is a highly flammable subject especially with our own tragic blighted club history, probably best leave it be.

Government is not reason; it is not eloquent; it is force. Like fire, it is a dangerous servant and a fearful master.

The Ruskies were very poor and Engerland should have buried them. But gee their lineup, formation and coaching is really poor thanks to Roy Hodgson.
And what about the English commentators? Every routine tackle and every simple pass by an englishman was "brilliant" and "fantastic" and attacks were at "lightning pace".
I wish England would play some decent football as I really cant enjoy the primitive predictable fare they dish up. I guess the players are not that good? would you be saying that about france if they hadn't got the late winner against romania?

Usually the media destroy the confidence of the players before they have even kicked a ball. So if a pundit wants to sound enthusiastic then let them. They are English commentators too. So they are fans. I doubt an Irishman or Welshman would have been so enthusiastic about our play if they were commentating. That was a confident and actually pleasing performance. An early goal would have buried the Russians. It was the first time in a long while I enjoyed watching them.
