I disagree about wildly inconsistent , maybe 2 or 3 yrs ago..still a young man.. so so talented.. he would be the one player I be very upset to lose.

Yeah wildly was a bit strong. He's been much better this year and it would be a shame to lose him. But for nearly £50m? I think I'd take it. Just depends on whether it would be reinvested wisely now with Klopp in charge.

Put us firmly in the selling club category, which we are already in fairness. Arsenal sold there best player every year and its still affecting them today. New player down the left prob means a settling in period and he won't be as good as phil anyways. Maybe if it was Reus or someone like that but I don't see it..we are linked with a lot of 19-20yr olds..fsg's buy young sell high policy.

Hope so, he seems great around the club too, read a few things about him and how he treats the staff and everyone ..top bloke it seems.

I would sell for less than 100m.

We've seen that we can't attract world class players (Gotze will be final confirmation of this) so we won't be able to replace him with someone with immediate quality. Firmino and Origi will be next if we keep this up. Only reason Sturridge hasn't been sought after is he spends most of the season injured or recovering fro injury so he's no where near worth what his actual goal-game ratio would command and what we'd ask for him.

I agree we are not able to replace these players.I think we should have enough money this summer after sales and fsg money to bring in the players Klopp wants without selling players like Coutinho. He is only young and a bit inconsistent but when he is on form he is a game winner, you cannot sell players like that. I wouldn't take 50m for him.

One thing our supporters should have learned by now is that selling our best players has not worked out to well for us.

Klopp wants Gotze and that's prob still not gonna happen.

Without CL and the ability to pay 150-200k p/w wages to more than a few, we won't be able to sell our best players and quickly replace them, ever.

Doesn't matter who we have in charge, we can't compete with the usual suspects on the wage front and that's what it will all come down to when looking for a replacement.

I would sell for anything above 50m, he is not worth it, yest he does have moments of brilliance but not aften enough, in the final for example, he was invisible, even in the first half.
