I think some of you guys are just going with the flow here and slagging Lucas. The boy has not had the best start in England and with Xabi,Masch and a all firing Gerrard he wasl obviously going to find it tough. Struggled big time in the first year but has improved a lot since then. Still has a long way to go but he has showed signs that he can do it when allowed to run forward by Rafa who I think is the main reason we haven`t seen the best of him yet. Wouldn`t want him starting every week but would be a good back up in the years to come.

im not going with the flow. i dont like him, rate him and never have. he looks completely out of his depth, has no instincts and cant think for himself on the field. he's a boy amongst men and always will be. the thoughts of him being here in years to come actually makes me panicky.

Agreed he's not good enough, at the moment. He's still only 23 and he'll be pretty good in another 2 or 3 years.
Not many 23 year old that have so much pressure on them and play week in and week out.

Lucas does not seem to understand that the ball needs to be passed forward...the only two directions in his manual are back and sideways. No wonder he has the most completed passes stat to his name, should actually be the most useless passes completed..
