low expectations? if we only sign götze as one of our attacking 6 then we'd be lucky to make top four, even with the team giving their best every week, and marko and ings being brought back into the side, lallana could improve though as an attacking right mid, but I'm not expecting big transformations. look forward to seeing how well divock develops next season though. if gruijic is going to become a regular I think he should be gradually integrated into the side slowly.

Tah's a good player especially for his age, and we wouldn't be interested in horn if he wasn't something in the mould of what we need, so I'm confused why you think klopp would just focus on improving the defence, and let the attack try to improve almost by itself, not the worst idea, just not the best depending on how eager and risky we are to improve imo.

oh sorry forgot to reply to this part, most definitely we need more than a decent DM, xhaka for me would be a good DM, even if he's not the most creative, he's solid defensively. which is why I prefer more of a ball winning mid, pjanic would be an upgrade for me on henderson, on that type of midfielder. kroos could also play as holding midfielder, as his tackling and passing is good, good in both departments which is harder to find, I think this could supplement a roaming playmaker as I think would utilize Can's skills best.

I don't think it's absolutely essential we get another striker, although it's a position we can improve for sure, to have a striker, or get our striker as prolific as lewandowski would surely be a step to being able to compete in the CL football.

Getting another striker might open some options, for example if we signed volland, I believe he would be a better striker parter for sturridge than origi is, although I know klopp prefers the 1 lonestriker. volland can also play as a left sided midfielder if needs be, and is only 23 with hard work he could be a top striker.

I know I also would like to see mario götze next season, but he needs to put much more effort in if he joined liverpool than what he has for bayern this season. he has the ability but having ability is nothing unless you use it.

Our degeneration has been our downfall ever since Rafa left, we have never got it together properly. I actually think that our attack is good, and will be better next season with a more solid midfield and defence. I think we need wide players, such as Markovic, that can change it up a bit and a new striker that can change a game, like Lacozette or Michy. But our focus should be on defence because it's been our number one issue for years.

If I got to choose a DM, I'd like Wanyama from Southampton, love that player, him and Can together would be great. Nobody would be getting through.

You just don't ship out your best players - not even if they aren't good enough. You can't change all 22 in the squad at once. You start by taking out the worst ones and then slowly work from that end, with max 3-4 players a year added / replaced.

wanyama isn't a bad call, he's just not creative enough, and he only has 1 assist and 1 goal for a good southampton team this season in 28 matches

what if we could, he's been instrumental for west ham, if he was almost as instrumental for us it would be a good signing. offensively he's better than lallana, defensively not so, which says he probably has more to give in terms of work rate

It doesn't matter. He's a defensive midfielder. Plus he would allow Can the chance to move around more. His main job is to protect the back 4, which he does superbly. I remember when he was playing for Celtic against Barcelona, Barcelona couldn't get through. That's what we've been screaming out for. We used to have Hamann, then Sissoko, then Macherano and ever since him we've used Lucas and our defence has been crap ever since.

Look at Barcelona, chalk out Basquets, have a look at his goals to games ratio, it's bad! But he's one still one of their most important players because he controls the games pace and direction. Look at Kante for Leicester city this season, their second most important player.
