Sheyi Ojo is named in Liverpool’s XI as they make seven changes for today’s Barclays Premier League clash with Stoke City at Anfield.

The 18-year-old makes his first top-flight start for the Reds, while Kevin Stewart is also handed a place in the line-up by Jürgen Klopp.

Elsewhere, there are berths for Kolo Toure, Martin Skrtel, Joe Allen, Roberto Firmino and Daniel Sturridge, while Lucas Leiva returns to the bench after injury.

Liverpool: Mignolet, Clyne, Skrtel, Toure, Moreno, Allen, Stewart, Milner, Ojo, Firmino, Sturridge. Subs: Ward, Lovren, Coutinho, Lallana, Lucas, Origi, Smith.

If Klopp wants Clyne and Moreno against Dortmund on Thursday I fail to see why he didn't leave them out today.

Fullbacks run a hell lot more than CB's, so IMO it would have been better to rest both fullbacks and instead put Smith and Flanno on today.

Sakho/Lovren on the other hand should have been playing today regardless - unless they are carrying any injuries.

He's got to be the smallest player on the pitch, its pathetic to concede a headed goal from him but no surprise at all, we cannot defend set pieces.

Exactly.

And with Skrtel and Sakho who have played 0 games together this season it's no wonder we are 0 % cohesive and organized! I mean we are usually very bad at set pieces but with a second string lineup we are even worse - even though I didn't think it was even possible!

Stoke were sub standard (in terms of opposition the way they played) so it's hard to rate the performances of some of the players, even if they were good. I expected our passing to be better at times, and more incisive given how easily we attacked stoke at times, when we had the ball in the final third. But great performance, great energy, a good afternoon.
