I appreciate some of the points you've made but whether it's done on purpose or not (personally i think you know what you're doing) you're so damn condescending. You've named certain people knowing full well that you'll get a negative response. Ben if you read my post you will see I have clearly pointed out its some of us older generation fans who might have to take a bit of the blame for the younger ones to be filled with so much hatred and dislike for fellow football fans from other Clubs. This as I have pointed out is evident on our forum here with the common use of the word Scum, the thing which does baffle me is that there is a thread condemning Manchester United fans for using vile chants towards Hillsborough and the same people condemning United fans are in turn using vile words like scum to describe them, if that's not hypocritical I don't know what is, you honestly couldn't make it up could you. I think there is a definable direct link with people in general who do start off with the vile chants against one another and it usually leads to the situation we found ourselves back in the 80s with fan violence, police escorts to and from grounds and fans being kept behind an hour after the game had finished until the home fans had drifted away, this was the football I grew up with and have no wish to return to those dark days, that's why I think these types of postings needs to be nipped in the bud, just my thoughts tho... The problem is that you can't make a point without being a nob about it. It's tiresome. my, my Ben didn't think you had it in you to be brave enough to call people names haha, can I just ask, so can you just clear it up for me very quickly please, by calling me a name surely it must mean you are backing people who condone vile name calling and chants is this right, please carry on with your new found braveness and tell me truthfully. what a scummy thread, zero chance of the OP joining our family now. what a perfect post to summ up the point am trying to make about the younger less educated posters on our forum who due to lacking footballing experience don't realise the damage vile chants and postings do to a football Clubs reputation. Ok, I'll bite. Someone (I don't remember who) referred to United as scum - you then made a big huff and puff about 'scum' Liverpool fans standing up. Now you're saying we can't use the word scum, like you have..of course only about Liverpool fans, though. Either you were being childish and reduced your age to the level of the education you so poorly received, or you're a hypocrite. Which is it, Spangles? yes my friend I am everything what you may say I am, how's that haha...

To be honest these days you get more grief from the city fans they have emerged as new troublemakers not violence but verbal its no longer liverpool vs man united as it used to be the old days are still fresh in my memory Stanley, police escorts and football specials were order of the day back then...

Yep you could be right shaggy my old chum and why not, if there are a few on here up past there bed time and on a school night then I will have a lemonade, in a way am a bit flattered, first they complain about me, then they try to ignore me and now they reply and contribute to my threads, they make me feel like a celeb, like me or loathe me but whatever comes and goes they can never ignore me haha..

You say United had more probably so given even then they were the best supported even then not supporting them it's a fact it's fine being partisan but let's be real
In my experience of the 1970,s any club could lead to violence back then but some were notorious Leeds millwall etc I got a good kicking at Lime street from Spurs fans as I recall United of course had some vicious fans but then so did Liverpool but there were certain clubs as above where you knew there would be big trouble every time

And the idea the more fans you took meant more violence is bunkum most fans then as today were decent I went and never harmed a fly. The people who caused the voilence were the hard core just as today that's why certain clubs were notorious they had organised gangs I can still recall the fights no more than 50 to 100 each side actual fighting

Cheers mate... Brave enough, they are just words typed on a keyboard and i'd happily say it to your face if i met you. I've called you what you are numerous times but in the past i've felt a bit sorry for you because it has been difficult to figure out if you are a bit of sad case or just a smug ar$e who craves attention by trying to upset and wind up others; however, with your recent posts it's clearly evident what you are...both sad and a bit of to$$er and it sums it up that you've even invented a new persona for back yourself up. I'm sure you'd like to see yourself as being outspoken etc and someone who speaks your mind and they are respectable qualities to have but being able to constantly ostracise yourself from a group of people by acting like a turd isn't.
