I hate European refs, every touch is a foul. They will not let the game flow especially a derby like this which will be physical.

Yeah been thinking about 4 4 2 myself too might be the best against United. Though I always think any setup is a winner if you can play it right.

does everyone know something I should know about sturridge and benteke?

and why the confidence to change from the 4411 we've been using the past 2 matches against utd? surely if we wanted to copy leicester's style it would be better to have origi and sturridge, unless benteke is going to work his ass off

coutinho on the left milner on the right if we do that perhaps?

Yes, he was an unused sub at Palace.

If we decide to play with two strikers though I would guess it means only one of Coutinho, Firmino and Lallana will start. Firmino is in the best form so I wouldn't want to see him left out and Coutinho is a match winner.

I think we'll see a central 3 of Can, Milner and Henderson then a forward 3 of Coutinho, Firmino and Sturridge.

It will be interesting to see who starts at centre back considering Toure's good form as of late, Sakho and Lovren played away at Palace. I don't want Moreno in the team, Flanagan and Clyne as full backs please.

well if the ref blow for the slightest touch it will play into our hands if Benteke plays, we will get fouls and penalties..

Benteke is being hard done by..he doesn't fit a 1 up top manager which is what klopp is . We always look better with 2 up top and I think in the prem it is the way to go. History proves this. It means Firminio & Coutinho have to operate on the outside but with man utds fullbacks this might be to our advantage. I would go benteke and sturridge , the rare few minutes they have played together we looked good. maybe drop milner into right back and clyne left back.

didn't gerrard once say form goes out the window for derbies? I'd wouldn't mind seeing the team without firmino for this tie

I think you'll get your wish in regards to flano and clyne at lb and rb.

agree with that, as he likes to press obviously playing a lone striker makes that easier

yes traditional liverpool sides 2 up front, only rodgers tried to change that after managing an awesome pairing

hope he doesn't play Flanagan myself, I just think with all the injuries he's had he looks finished to me, one thing United do have is pace in the forward lines and this could prove the difference if up against Flanagan, you seen the way the game changed last time against them when Memphis came on...
