Is it lazy media speculation to link us with a vast amount of players currently playing in Germany.
Reus
Leroy Sane
Mario Gotze
Grant X
Subutic
Hummells
I know we have signed one player from Germany already - due to sign in Summer.
And Grujic is from a country near to Germany.
Is our operating modus under Klopp to sign players from central Europe now?
Much as Rafa signed players from Spain and Houiller from France while BR went back to midtable teams similar to Swansea and Reading for his signings.
If so. And if we signed a few of those players linked it will be an interesting summer and perhaps the end of the line for some key Liverpool players.
I can't see us keeping all 3 of Lallana, Coutinho and Firmino if we signed Gotze and Reus.
And if Grant X arrived then surely one of Lucas or Allen would leave.

It really depends if Liverpool somehow obtain CL next season.
Fail to get CL and we'll end up with a mish mash of young players with potential and journeymen mercenaries!
CL is KING when it comes to transfer deals...

We have to be realistic and ask the question do we honestly think this category of player is going to come to a Club like ours. I would of thought especially Reus and Hummels would wasn't champions league, don't want to put a dampener on it but we need to target the second tier player down and somehow try and turn them into a top clas player like we did with Torres and Suarez, make a decent profit then...

I'd take Xhaka possibly.
Reus or Goetze klopp could use either of them as a left sided forward in a 433, or left attack mid/number 10. I think in games like the 1-0 defeat to man utd players like Reus would have made the difference, help us get in front, we had milner over the ball in a good area to score, firmino also got in, sturridge probably would have put that chance in the back of the net.
Sane, I would like to see him and Divock form a partnership.
Subo - do we want to replace lovren? as we already have matip, so a completely new centre back pairing? hmmm surely a goalkeeper is more appropriate than another cb
Hummels big name player like reus, it would be interesting to see how he would do in the premier league but I don't believe he'd be tempted even by klopp being here.

Players will want to play under Klopp that is for sure, he is a big draw. Can't see us getting CL this year. So who ever comes in is going to know this.
I don't know but maybe you will have players who think this guy is at Liverpool he is exciting, he is going to create something special here so I will come. Under Rodgers it was "oh Liverpool want me and city want me, i'll sign for city"
I think this time with Klopp you are going to have players who will at least give us more of a thought.I hope we see a surprise or two this summer.

I should say don't expect any of these players individually to be completely game changing, liverpool even struggled to break down Augsburg away with sturridge firmino and coutinho. Our attack is still unreliable, and has flaws, much like our defence. I wouldn't break the bank for Reus, nothing above 35m for me, or we're getting into overpayment territory.
We're going to have to progress as a team, work things out together, of course more quality players could make things clearer.

I hope so paul, but liverpool don't totally need the best, they just need right. Pre season will be interesting, it will probably indicate whether next season is not going to be plain sailing with so many players being sold and a fair few brought in perhaps.

Can I add onto that last post, if the players we brought/bring in don't integrate during pre-season as benteke didn't, with only 1 half chance in 90 minutes against swindon, then expect it to take a while for them to integrate during the course of the season, or probably not at all in the way the are being used by the manager. I know players mainly use pre-season for building up fitness, and aren't at 100%, but I also think it a time to work with your team mates too and impress, gain some confidence going into the new season.

Well I for one don't want wholesale changes in the summer.
Better to just add a few players who really can make us stride forwards.
If we in a perfect world could sign just one player I'd go for Suarez. Players like that make difference.
To sign 6-7 talents, who might make us better but also might not, makes no sense at all. We've been there at least for the last 6 years now. No more of that please! Sign class or wait!
