Was that the round the mighty Carlisle took us to penalties at home? A bit of straw clutching there. And last time I looked, the league isn't finished yet so we've not finished 9th. OK but if so many are still blaming Brendan for Klopp's performance up to now, then these people must also be 'blaming' Brendan for us getting to the league cup final. Or more likely, everything good that Klopp does is all his own work and and anything bad will be Brendan's fault.

Hey now hey now don't dream it's over, hey now hey now, when the world comes in, they come, they come to build a wall between us, but they know they can't win.... Just remember the words when blaming poor Brendan...

Time for Klopp to step things up a notch methinks.
He's had it somewhat easy 'till now. Everyone likes him, he had no pre-season with the players and he of course inherited them.
However, he has now been in charge for around half the season and has made some key decisions: no major additions in Jan; sticking with Migs inc. new contract; Lucas at CB; Origi preferred to Benteke; making public statements about what Sturridge and Benteke need to do; the penalty takers yesterday.
He won't have the luxury of time next season. In the final part of this season and in the summer transfer dealings he will need to show some good decisions backed up with RESULTS. Good performances alone will not do.
Or else what? We sack him and what? That’s easy; we replace him. What did you think we’d do? With who?? Do we really want to become a club that has a manager merry go round every six months? patience and time is what's needed to let him try and get it right. He deserves every bit as much time as Rodgers got for me and that should be long enough to know if we've progressed or not. I just said we'd replace him, I didn't say when, in fact I've never been in favour of blaming managers for the failure of FSG's recruitment policies and moneyball experiment. Over the course of a league campaign a manager is generally as good as the players he has for his style and philosophy. When you recruit players for their sale on potential based on stats and age factors, it's nigh impossible for any manager to assemble a squad to suit their style of play, add the committee system to that with financial restrictions and you can hardly lay much blame on any manager.

I like to blame managers as they are provided with everythin they need to be successful so if they under perform or don't hit target then there heads should CHEESE roll...

I wonder why that could be... think deep down we all knew we would get beat, people never listened when I said it was all about what City did no matter how well we might play, City played at about 70% and it was still good enough to restrict us to our first shot on 83 mins. Just hard cheese I suppose...oops wrong thread...

The game was fairly even until our keeper made an error,Man city only had chances once we were chasing an equaliser,no where near as one sided as your making out young man.
