What constitutes best? Most talented? Most successful? Best all around?

The candidates would be Dalglish, Souness, Keegan, Rush, Barnes, and Suarez for me.

Suarez is probably the most gifted of the list, followed by Barnes. Dalglish is probably the most successful.

Gerrard is probably the best all around. Gift, athleticism, creativity, and also the intangibles: leadership, clutch performance, intelligence, character.

wow factor has to be John Barnes then and you can pick nearly any of his games in the 87/88 season, Suarez has some fantastic performances but none were on the level as the performance Digger put in against Forest when we beat them 5-0. Just one more thing that gave Barnes the edge was he always turned up for the big games whereas unfortunately Suarez flopped, just my opinion tho,

Wrong on all counts. He's not the fastest in the world, but certainly has pace. As far as headers go, look at these two:

He was fine with his left foot. His very first goal for us was left footed, and he scored 7 goals with his left peg in just his last season with us off the top of my head.

He also had way more in his locker than Torres did: strength, creativity, free kicks, dribbling, passing range were all in another class.

Torres' whole game was about acceleration, touch, and finish. Suarez could score the kind of goals Torres scored, but Torres could not score the kind goals Suarez scored. Not to mention the fact that Suarez scored more. Suarez was more complete.

Suarez never scored the goals Torres did either tho did he so it goes both ways, Torres scored goals on the bigger occasions and always stood up to be counted when we needed him unlike Suarez unfortunately...

There is no goal that Torres scored that looked beyond Suarez's skill. Suarez could drive it into the bottom corner, bend it into the top, through the keeper's legs, wherever. He scored volleys, he scored headers, he scored incredible free-kicks, he dribbled through entire teams, he took balls out of the sky and juggled over defenders.

As for this big occasion bolx, you're making it up. Suarez scored against all of our biggest rivals: United, Chelsea, Everton, Arsenal. What bigger games did Torres score in? He never even won a cup with us, although Suarez did. Torres never fired us to a higher finish than Suarez did, and he never scored as many goals as Suarez did in a single season, and Suarez scored more goals than he did, as well as assisting more in in roughly the same amount of time.

Torres scored against Arsenal and Chelsea in the quarter and semi final of the champions league, Suarez never managed that, his biggest goals came at Goodison Park and Old Trafford and I think Torres matched that. Suarez flopped in his Liverpool's biggest games as in League Cup final against Cardiff, F..A Cup final against Chelsea and when we really needed him most against Chelsea when Gerrard slipped, these are the facts unfortunately. I don't want to take anything away from Suarez as he was a fantastic player for us and near won us the league however he didn't turn up when we needed him most, since then he has gone on to become the player he threatened to become at Liverpool but for me Torres was a bit better calibrate wise while at Liverpool and did it in the biggest games...

Suarez scored against Arsenal and City in a title Race, and against Chelsea the season before. He's scored at the Ethihad, he's scored at the bridge, he's scored at White Hart Lane, and he's scored at the Emirates at various points in his career with us. Torres never won anything with us, and although Suarez didn't win much, at least he won something! Torres never managed a 31 goal season either.

True, Suarez never played in the CL with us, so we don't know how it would have gone in that situation, but he scored in the semi-final of the FA cup against Everton, and he scored plenty of goals in that year's run up to the FA Cup Final and League Cup final. He also scored 2 against Zenit in the Europa league knock outs that would have sent us through if Carra passed it to Hulk at the death to give it up on away goals. Given the way he played in Barca's treble, he probably would have done just as well as Torres in the CL for us, given the opportunity.

Besides, Kuyt scored in a CL final for us and in the league cup final, as well as . Does that make him a better striker than both of them? Obviously not.

ok so we go back to the word levels again, do you think scoring goals in the early rounds of cup competitions are the same as scoring goals in the more pressurised finals maybe ask Ronalso of Brazil in France 1998, yes he scored plenty of Leagues goals during the campagn but those goals at Old Trafford, Goodison Park or the 4 or 5 he always used to get against Norwich are they the same as scoring the goals we really needed against Chelsea when Gerrard slipped or even when he failed to show up against City and we needed a bit of luck to get past City with a late goal from Cortinho. All about Levels...
